– In an article on ESPNW.COM, the three leaders of the current WWE women’s revolution – Sasha Banks, Charlotte, and Becky Lynch – wrote how the three of them are changing the landscape of women’s wrestling. In her portion of the article, Sasha Banks had an honest assessment of their current situation. “I think once we get a women’s main event at a pay-per-view and you drop ‘women’s wrestling,’ that will prove we are on the same level,” she wrote, adding that a couple of years ago, women’s wrestling was seen as the popcorn match or the bathroom break for the fans. Banks, who returns to her hometown of Boston as the champion tonight, continued, “We say things like ‘women’s wrestling’ and ‘women’s revolution.’ I hope one day it’s not ‘a good women’s match.’ I don’t want the women’s wrestling part. I just want to be equal to my partners. Why can’t we be treated equal?”
