1961 – Jackie Fargo and Lester Welch defeat Dante and Mephisto, to win the NWA Mid-Southern Tag Team Championship.

1982 – Jimmy Valiant defeats Ivan Koloff, to win the NWA Television Championship.  Also, The Masked Superstar (Bill Eadie) defeats Paul Orndorff, to win the NWA National Heavyweight Championship.

1986 – Kung Fu defeats Gran Cochisse, to win the NWA World Middleweight Championship.

1988 – The Samoan Swat Team (Fatu and Samu) defeat Michael Hayes and Steve Cox, to win the WCWA World Tag Team Championship.

1992 – In the United States Wrestling Association, Todd Champion defeats Butch Reed, to win the USWA Unified World Heavyweight Championship.  Also, Miss Texas defeats Moondog Fifi, to win the USWA Women’s Championship.

1994 – In the United States Wrestling Association, The Phantoms (Tragedy and Sorrow) defeat PG-13 (J.C. Ice and Wolfie D), to win the USWA World Tag Team Championship.

1997 – In a Three-Way Match, Universo 2000 defeats Cien Caras and Rayo de Jalisco, Jr., to win the CMLL World Heavyweight Championship.

1999 – WWF No Mercy is held in Cleveland in front of 18,742 fans.  This would be the final WWF appearance for Jeff Jarrett.  Jarrett’s WWF contract had expired the day before this pay-per-view and had agreed to a contract with World Championship Wrestling.  It is speculated that Jarrett received anywhere from $300,000 – $500,000 for his match at No Mercy.

-The Godfather defeats Mideon.

-The Fabulous Moolah defeats Ivory, to win the WWF Women’s Championship.  At age 76 Moolah becomes he oldest champion in professional wrestling.

-In a tag team match, Hardcore and Crash Holly defeat The New Age Outlaws (Road Dogg and Billy Gunn) via disqualification.  This match was originally a Tag Team Championship match;  however The New Age Outlaws lost the titles to The Rock ‘n’ Sock Connection (The Rock and Mankind) on SmackDown three days earlier.

-In a Good Housekeeping Match, Chyna defeats Jeff Jarrett, to win the WWF Intercontinental Championship.  Chyna becomes the first, and only, female Intercontinental Champion in history.

-The Rock defeats The British Bulldog.

-In a Ladder Match to determine who’d win the services of Terri Runnels along with $100,000, The New Brood (Matt and Jeff Hardy) defeat Edge and Christian.

-Val Venis defeats Mankind.

-In a Four Corners Elimination Match, X-Pac defeats Faarooq, Bradshaw, and Kane.

-In an Anything Goes Match, Triple H defeats “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, to retain the WWF Championship.

2000 – In Ohio Valley Wrestling, Mr. Black defeats Trailer Park Trash, to win the OVW Hardcore Championship.  Also, Flash Flanagan and B.J. Payne defeat The Disciples of Synn (Damian and Slash), to win the OVW Southern Tag Team Championship.

2004 – The second night of the NWA 56th Anniversary Show is held in Winnipeg, Manitoba.  Only 100 fans were in attendance.

-Chasyn Rance defeats Mark Stephens, to become the inaugural NWA Spinebuster Junior Heavyweight Champion.

-Steve Jaworski defeats Tank Roberts, to retain the CWF Heavyweight Championship.

-Gino Martino defeats Dave Drako, to retain the NWA New England Brass Knuckles Championship.

-In a Three-Way Dance, Jason Rumble defeats Jerrelle Clark and Vance Desmond, to win the NWA World Junior Heavyweight Championship.

-Petey Williams defeats Kenny Omega, to retain the TNA X Division Championship.

2012 – In Ohio Valley Wrestling, Cliff Compton defeats Alex Silva, to win the OVW Television Championship.

2012 – On this evening’s WWE Main Event, Kofi Kingston defeats The Miz, to win the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

2015 – In Chaotic Wrestling, Alexxis Nevaeh defeats Mistress Belmont, to win the Chaotic Wrestling Women’s Championship.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO: Baron von Raschke (75 years old), a 2013 Inductee into the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame;  former Heartland Wrestling Association Cruiserweight Champion & Combat Zone Wrestling Wired Champion Tim Donst (29 years old);  Steve McMichael (59 years old), former WCW United States Champion and member of the 1985 Super Bowl Champion Chicago Bears;  and the final Divas Champion in Florida Championship Wrestling Caylee Turner (28 years old).
