– Everett began his career at the age of 15 as a member of Las Chivas in Chikara. He was known as both Chiva IV and The Chiva Kid
– On December 21, 2008, The Chiva Kid defeated Nick Richards to win the CWF Mid-Atlantic Rising Generation League Title
– On February 27, 2009, The Chiva Kid defeated BattleCat CWF Mid-Atlantic Rising Generation League Title
– On February 22, 2013, The Chiva Kid defeated Eddie Edwards to win the PWI Ultra J Title
– On March 3, 2013, The Chiva Kid defeated Matt Smith to retain the PWI Ultra J Title
– On March 29, 2013, The Chiva Kid defeated Delirious to retain the PWI Ultra J Title
– In January 2014, Everett (now working under his real name) competed in the ROH Top Prospect Tournament, losing in the semi-finals to Hanson. This began a run of irregular appearances for Everett in ROH
