Natalya Neidhart opened the show by greeting the crowd and introducing the first match. She sat at ringside until intermission.

Kalisto defeated Alberto Del Rio to retain the United States Championship in a great opening match. After about 11 minutes Kalisto hit the Salida del Sol for the win.

Sandow was out next and put over Dubai and thanked the crowd last night for remembering who he was and cheering for him. Then he turned on the crowd, heeling them for cheering for Fandango’s dancing, setting up the next match.

Fandango defeated Damien Sandow with a leg drop from the top rope after about 4 minutes.

Kevin Owens appeared on the screen to cut a promo about his match tonight with Sami Zayn. RTruth interrupted him, confused seeming to think he was booked to fight Owens and offering to have a hardcore match right there. Owens told him he was fighting Sami Zayn and Truth was going to fight someone else. After sorting Truth out, Kevin Owens gave up on his promo and asked “Can we get him (RTruth) some help?” Very funny backstage skit.

Los Matadores lost a handicap match to the Big Show. The Big Show is always great to see live and the crowd gave him a lot of love. Before the match he started a “Nattie” chant and she got up onto the ring apron, gave him a hug and a kiss on the cheek. Technically public displays of affection between men and women are illegal in the UAE (but I doubt anybody was upset).

Sami Zayn defeated Kevin Owens with a big boot in the corner after about 11 minutes. Crowd was really into both guys and Sami Zayn was especially popular. Kevin Owens faked a knee injury early in the match but it was just to lure Sami Zayn into a false sense of security as he soon attacked him then danced a jig to work up the crowd.

After an intermission, RTruth came out, had a fun interaction in the ring with a kid at ringside who had evidently left his phone backstage during a backstage pass visit. His match was against Bo Dallas. Bo Dallas was accompanied to the ring by Heath Slater. RTruth defeated Bo Dallas with a roll-up after a quick match. The Social Outcasts then beat up RTruth after the match, until Goldust ran in and made the save. The crowd chanted for the Golden Truth.

AJ Styles defeated Ryback with a springboard forearm after about 11 minutes. Crowd was hot for this match. AJ had a big pop, but segments of the crowd chanted “Feed Me More” too. Noticeable “Goldberg” chants directed Ryback. This was the most athletic match of the night – AJ took a lot of bumps and kicked out of a lot of near falls.

Main Event: Triple Threat for the Intercontinental Championship, The Miz vs Dolph Ziggler vs Dean Ambrose. Dean Ambrose had the biggest reaction of the night. Fast paced match which progressed quickly to each man hitting his big moves and going for his finisher. After 9 minutes Dean Ambrose hit Dirty Deeds on Dolph Ziggler, but The Miz rolled Ambrose up and holding the ropes for leverage, scored the pinfall. The crowd jeered “Cheater!” at The Miz, who then offered to shake Dean’s hand to prove he didn’t cheat. Ambrose asked Ziggler if he saw The Miz hold the ropes. The crowd chanted “Yes!” and Ziggler agreed, superkicking The Miz into Dean Ambrose, who hit him with Dirty Deeds. Ambrose and Ziggler celebrated with fans, posed with the UAE flag, and gave away their shirts to fans on the way out.

Dubai Duty Free Tennis stadium was about 2/3rds full. Its usual capacity for tennis is around 5000 – without seats on the floor. I hope it was good enough music for them to come back because it was a great show!
