Hello, gerweck.net readers! I am introducing a new monthly column titled “WWE By the Numbers” here on gerweck.net. This is my “rough draft” so to speak, and I will always welcome suggestions on more things to include to make this column better. For this column, I will be looking at WWE TV for the month of January 2016. By WWE TV, I mean: Raw, Main Event, NXT, Smackdown, Superstars, and any WWE Network events (such as the Royal Rumble in this case). Without any further delay, let’s get started!

WWE World Heavyweight Championship:
1. Triple H defeated Roman Reigns (and 28 other Superstars) in the Royal Rumble Match – Royal Rumble – January 24, 2016
WWE Intercontinental Championship:
Dean Ambrose held the title throughout the entire month, with a successful defense over Kevin Owens at the Royal Rumble.
WWE United States Championship:
1. Kalisto defeated Alberto Del Rio – Monday Night Raw – January 11, 2016
2. Alberto Del Rio defeated Kalisto – Thursday Night Smackdown – January 14, 2016
3. Kalisto defeated Alberto Del Rio – Royal Rumble – January 24, 2016
WWE Tag Team Championship:
The New Day held the titles throughout the entire month, with a successful defense over The Usos at the Royal Rumble.
WWE Divas Championship:
Charlotte held the title throughout the entire month, with successful defenses over Becky Lynch on Smackdown and at the Royal Rumble.
NXT Championship:
Finn Balor held the title throughout the entire month, and made no defenses.
NXT Tag Team Championship:
Dash and Dawson held the titles throughout the entire month, and made no defenses.
NXT Women’s Championship:
Bayley held the title throughout the entire month, and made no defenses.
