WWE Intercontinental Championship Match: Dolph Ziggler (w/R-Ziggler) vs. The Miz (w/Damien Mizdow)

Miz backs into the corner as soon as the bell rings. Ziggler and Miz tie up and Miz gets Ziggler in a headlock. Ziggler reverses and puts Miz in a headlock, but Miz sends Ziggler off the ropes. Ziggler takes Miz down with a shoulder block and then goes for a kick to the face. Miz stops him and goes for the Figure Four, but Ziggler kicks him into the corner. Ziggler takes Miz down and delivers nine short elbow drops before Miz rolls to the apron. Miz drapes Ziggler over the top rope and gets back into the ring. Miz kicks Ziggler in the ribs and goes for the cover, but Ziggler kicks out at two. Miz stomps away on Ziggler and then delivers a big kick to the face. Miz goes for the cover, but Ziggler kicks out at two. Miz gets Ziggler in a headlock down on the mat. Miz stalks around the ring and waits for Ziggler to get up, but then pulls Ziggler up by his head and kicks him in the face again. Miz goes for the cover, but Ziggler quickly kicks out. Miz drops a knee across Ziggler’s chest and then delivers a few more kicks. Ziggler gets to his feet and begins to fight back. Miz sends Ziggler into the corner and charges, but Ziggler counters with a clothesline. Both men are down as the referee counts and Mizdow yells at Miz. Ziggler takes Miz down with a clothesline and then sends him into the corner. Ziggler connects with a flying clothesline and then takes Miz down with a bulldog. ZIggler goes for the Fameasser, but Miz catches him and they both fall to the mat. They get up and they battle to the floor. Ziggler slams Miz into the barricade and then tosses him back into the ring. Mizdow grabs Ziggler and pulls him off the apron, but R-Ziggler goes after Mizdow. Mizdow slams R-Ziggler into the apron and then starts yelling at Florida Georgia Line. They stand up and get in Mizdow’s face. He tells them to sit down, but they shove him and R-Ziggler chases him away. Miz is distracted by it and Ziggler delivers a super kick to Miz. Ziggler goes for the Fameasser, but Miz counters and goes for the Skull Crushing Finale. Ziggler counters that, but Miz locks in the Figure Four. Ziggler fights to get to the ropes, and he eventually does. Miz goes for the Figure Four again, but Ziggler counters and delivers the Fameasser. Ziggler goes for the cover, but Miz kicks out at two. Ziggler gets to his feet and waits on Miz, but Mizdow is back and Ziggler kicks him in the face. Miz rolls up Ziggler and grabs the tights to get the pin fall.
Winner and NEW WWE Intercontinental Champion: The Miz.

We see the coverage of the situation with Roman Reigns having to undergo emergency surgery on an incarcerated hernia. We are reminded that Reigns will likely miss about three months of action. Seth Rollins’ music hits and he makes his way to the ring.

Rollins says that one minute you’re on top of the world, and the next you’re Roman Reigns. Rollins says emergency surgery is no excuse for not showing up here tonight. Rollins says for the interest of fairness and justice, he is going to give Reigns ten second to come out and face him, or he will be forced to accept Reigns’ forfeit. Rollins tells referee Charles Robinson to ring the bell, and he does.

The referee makes the count and gets to ten, obviously, and then calls for the bell again.
Winner via Forfeit: Seth Rollins.
After the “match,” Rollins tells the referee to raise his hand. Rollins says he knows everyone is disappointed because they all wanted to see him compete. Rollins says he is disappointed in Reigns because he is not man enough to show up and face him tonight. Rollins says Reigns left him high and dry. Rollins says luckily, he is an opportunist and holds up the Money in the Bank briefcase. Rollins issues an open challenge to anyone in the back. We see a taxi pulls up, and Dean Ambrose exits and charges to the ring.

Ambrose immediately attacks Rollins and tosses him into the crowd. They fight back to the stage and The Authority sends guys out to stop Ambrose, but Ambrose tosses Rollins onto them and then jumps onto Rollins again. Ambrose continues to beat down Rollins and then clotheslines him back to the ring area. Rollins gets tossed back into the ring and Ambrose grabs a chair. The security gets into the ring and tackles Ambrose down to the mat. Triple H hands them a zip-tie and they tie Ambrose’s hands behind his back. The security detail pick Ambrose up and carry him out as Rollins walks out with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.

We join the expert panel again, Renee Young, Booker T, Alex Riley, and The Big Show. They talk about the contests so far and Riley says he was really impressed with Sheamus and Cesaro.
