WWE Extreme Rules Coverage: Six-Man Tag Team Match




Six-Man Tag Team Match: Evolution (Batista, Randy Orton, and Triple H ) vs. The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, and Seth Rollins)

An all-out brawl starts the match and Rollins clotheslines Triple H to the outside, and Ambrose and Reigns sends Orton and Batista to the outside as well. Rollins and Triple H are in the ring alone now, and the referee calls for the bell. Rollins delivers a few right hands to Triple H and then takes him down with a heel kick. Rollins clotheslines Triple H to the outside and then dives to the outside and takes Triple H down. Back in the ring, Triple H takes Rollins down with a clothesline and tags in Batista, who is met with nothing but boos from the WWE Universe. In the corner, Orton stomps on Rollins as Batista tags him in. Orton stomps away on Rollins down on the mat and then catapults him into the bottom rope. Orton delivers a right hand to Rollins and then tags in Triple H. Orton and Triple H double-team Rollins for a few moments before Orton leaves the ring. Triple H slams Rollins’ head into his knee and goes for the cover, but Rollins kicks out at two. Triple H tags in Batista again, who takes Rollins to the outside and kicks him in the head. Batista tosses Rollins back into the ring and goes for the cover, but Rollins kicks out at two. Batista tags in Orton, who chokes Rollins down on the mat and stomps away on him again. Orton drapes Rollins over the top rope and then slams him down to the mat. Orton goes for the cover, but Rollins kicks out at two. Orton applies a headlock down on the mat. Rollins fights his way out of it and reaches for the tag, but Batista and Triple H knock Ambrose and Reigns off the apron. Rollins catches Orton with an enzuiguri and tags in Ambrose. Ambrose dropkicks Orton into the corner and then takes him down with a cross-body. Ambrose stomps away on Orton in the corner and then knocks Batista off the apron. Ambrose drops Orton with a clothesline and then applies the Figure-Four leg-lock. Triple H and Batista break it up, but then Reigns goes after Batista on the outside. Reigns slams Batista into the barriacde and goes to Spear Triple H, but Triple H moves and Reigns goes shoulder-first into the steel steps. Batista and Ambrose are the legal men now, and Evolution begins a three-on-one beat down on Ambrose as the WWE Universe begins chanting “Boo-tista.” Batista clotheslines Ambrose and goes for the cover, but Ambrose kicks out at two. Batista gets Ambrose in a side-headlock and tags in Orton. Orton drops Ambrose to the mat and goes for the cover, but Ambrose kicks out at two. Orton applies a headlock down on the mat. Orton tags in Triple H, who drops Ambrose with a right hand. Triple H continues the attack on Ambrose in the corner and then charges, but Ambrose gets his boot up. Ambrose comes out of the corner, but Triple H counters with a spine-buster. Triple H goes for the cover, but Ambrose kicks out at two. Batista drops Ambrose with a back elbow and goes for the cover, but Ambrose kicks out at two again. Batista gets Ambrose in a headlock down on the mat while the WWE Universe chants “You Can’t Wrestle!” at Batista. Ambrose gets back to his feet and counters with a jaw-breaker. Batista drops Ambrose with a big boot and tags in Triple H. Ambrose drops Triple H to the mat and crawls to his corner. Ambrose tags in Reigns and Triple H tags Batista. Reigns drops Batista with a clothesline and a flying forearm. Reigns drops Triple H as well and then clotheslines Batista in the corner. Reigns clotheslines Orton over the top rope. Reigns kicks Batista in the head and then drops Triple H as well. Reigns slams Orton into the barricade and gets back into the ring, but Batista catches him. Batista goes for the Batista Bomb, but ROllins knees Batista in the head. Reigns connects with the Superman Punch on Batista and then The Shield delivers the Triple Powerbomb on Batista. Reigns goes for the cover, but Triple H and Orton pull him out of the ring. Rollins launches himself towards Orton and Triple H, but they move and Rollins hits the wall. Triple H hits Reigns with a Pedigree in the ring and pulls Batista onto Reigns, as Ambrose attacks Triple H. Batista goes for the cover, but Reigns kicks out at two as the crowd chants “This is Awesome!” Orton drops Reigns with an RKO and Batista goes for the cover, but Rollins breaks up the pin attempt. Rollins and Orton fight on the outside, as do Ambrose and Triple H. Rollins slams Orton into the barricade, but Orton fights back and tosses Rollins into the crowd. Orton and Triple H double-team Rollins now, but Ambrose launches himself from the announcer’s table and takes out Orton and Triple H. Rollins and Triple H fight into the crowd and Triple H slams Rollins into a steel guardrail, and Orton and Ambrose follow them. All four men fight up the steps. Rollins slams Triple H down on a steel walkway and then Orton shoves Ambrose down a flight of stairs. Triple H and Orton walk down the steps and then slam him into the concrete wall. Rollins comes from the section above with a cross-body and takes down Orton and Triple H. Back in the ring, Batista delivers a spine-buster to Reigns. Batista goes for the Batista Bomb, but Reigns counters with the Superman Punch. Reigns sets up for the Spear, and he connects with it and gets the pin fall.
Winners: The Shield.

We get a video preview for the next episode of Legends House.

We see the video hype package for the on-going feud between Bray Wyatt and John Cena.

    What a match. Evolution put the Shield over in a big way, with an old fashioned brawl.
