Wrestling By The Numbers: Danny Burch

World Wrestling Entertainment has announced the release of developmental wrestler Martyn ‘Danny Burch’ Harris. The 32-year-old London England native had spent the last 2-plus years with the WWE after originally being signed back in late 2011. Harris was first sent to Florida Championship Wrestling in May of 2012 where he trained before arriving in NXT Wrestling a year later. Over the last year working as Danny Burch he had made sporadic appearances on NXT television where he was mainly used as an enhancement talent. The WWE officially released Harris back on April 30th.

Martyn Harris is an 11-year veteran of the professional wrestling industry who debuted in 2003 after having been trained by Dropkixx. After starting his in-ring career with All Star Wrestling he quickly became a well known name on the United Kingdom independent circuit. Competing as both Martin Stone and Joe Riot he found his largest success working for both the Frontier Wrestling Alliance and International Pro Wrestling United Kingdom organizations. He is a former 1-Time FWA Champion, 1-Time FWA Tag-Team Champion and a 1-Time IPW:UK Champion having had a 15-month title reign. Harris also worked for Westside Xtreme Wresting in Germany and Chikara in the United States prior to signing with the WWE.
