Wrestling By The Numbers: Shaul ‘Raquel Diaz’ Guerrero
World Wrestling Entertainment has announced the release of second generation wrestler and former 1-Time FCW Divas Champion Shaul ‘Raquel Diaz’ Guerrero. The 23-year-old El Paso Texas native had spent the previous 4-years with the organization. The daughter of the late Eddie Guerrero and Vickie Guerrero was first signed to a developmental contract back in October of 2010 and was assigned to Florida Championship Wrestling. Having no prior experience in the business she was first trained by FCW officials and debuted on television in December of 2010 under the name Raquel Diaz. She quickly gained attention for great promo skills and in addition to winning the Divas title was also a former 1-Time Queen Of FCW.
It was reported that Guerrero had requested and was granted her release from the company in September of 2012. She returned to the WWE a year later claiming she was never officially released but was actually given a leave of absence to attend school. Over the last 7-months since returning she never appeared on television prior to having her contract terminated back on April 30th. Before to being signed by the WWE Guerrero worked as both a singer and a model while attending New Mexico State University.
