    Join me in yet another failed venture where I will be the oldest ever world heavyweight champion and kids who have more talent by accident than I ever will have on purpose will be jobbing to me nightly.

    people keeping calling it GWF instead of GFW. I can’t make any comments about how good or bad I think this will be until it actually starts up. I think the smarter move would be to buy out an already established brand instead of trying to start something brand new. It’s really hard to compete with WWE for the simple fact they’ve been doing it for so long and have broadcasting down to a science. Say what you will about their booking decisions but when you watch WWE shows you expect to get a certain quality that never seems to be in question.

    @John
    What existing brand do you exist Jarrett actually buy? TNA turned him down. The only other “big” name brands in wrestling are ROH, AAA, CMLL, NJPW, and AJPW. The Mexican and Japanese companies are both foreign and out of his price range. And as much as I love ROH a) it’s not a wide known brand and b) they barely have broadcast production down, and they’re owned by a freaking broadcasting company. Jarrett has experience creating TNA, so he might as well create a new brand. At this point, GFW isn’t that far behind TNA and ROH in brand awareness when you really get down to what is known to a wide audience. No company has a brand awareness anywhere close to WWE, and it’d take years for one to even come close, if that were to happen. Might as well try to create something else new and go from there.
