Wrestling By The Numbers: Rycklon ‘Ezekiel Jackson’ Stephens

World Wrestling Entertainment has announced the release of powerhouse wrestler and former 1-Time ECW Champion Rycklon ‘Ezekiel Jackson’ Stephens. The 35-year-old Linden Guyana native had spent the last 7-years with the organization where he was also a former 1-Time WWE Intercontinental Champion. Stephens was signed by the WWE in March of 2007 and was assigned to their developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling where he competed as Rycklon. He remained in FCW until July of 2008 when he was called up to the Smackdown brand and paired with wrestler The Brian Kendrick. In April of 2009 he became apart of the ECW brand and was given a main event push defeating Christian on the final episode of ECW On Syfy to become the final ECW Champion. Stephens then returned to competing on both the Raw and Smackdown brands before injuries kept him on the sidelines for the better part of his final 2-years with the company.

Rycklon Stephens is a 7-year veteran of the squared circle who first debuted in the business in early 2007 after having been trained by Homicide, Tom Prichard and Steve Keirn. He competed briefly for Ultimate Pro Wrestling as Big Ryck Hytz prior to being signed by the WWE. Before entering the business he attended the University and Buffalo and spent time with the United States Marines Corps.. The WWE officially announced his departure from the organization back on April 7th.
