WWE Reportedly Considering a Network Price Increase, Backstage Talk on Sting’s WWE Debut

– When the WWE Network subscriber numbers came out on Monday, there were people within WWE who were surprised and took it as not a good sign. Many in the company were expecting over 1 million subscribers. Apparently there’s talk that we may see a price jump to $11.99 or $12.99 per month next year.

– There’s now a feeling within WWE that Sting won’t be on WWE TV for a long time.

  1. The Guy says:

WWE Network is kinda getting a little overrated now.

  2. Randy says:

    Apparently they want less subscribers

  3. jim says:

They can kiss my ass if they want a penny more.

  4. Steve says:

Why are you guys whining? The Network is worth more than that. WrestleMania was perfect quality and you paid less than you would have.

  5. Really? says:

Let’s not pretend they didn’t already have a price jump in mind before any numbers came out.

  6. I am your father says:

It’s only a few dollars for us per month and we can see all the PPVs, better than in the past when a PPV costed nearly 50 $

  7. cajunrevenge says:

It was always going to go up in price. They just started with 9.99 to attract as many as possible. It will go up to 19.99 before 2016.

  8. Xtremefalls43 says:

Yeah this is the same F4W who have been reporting this since the first damn week and now have changed stories about when sting is going to debut……….They don’t have a clue what their talking about

  9. kidd-cage says:

Gosh what’s the big deal. It’s only 2 or 3 bucks up. It’s still worth on what you pay for and still get all the PPV’s.

  10. dave says:

I always thought that 9.99 was a steal. 19.99 would not be too expensive either.

No-one knows what is happening with Sting. There were rumours he would have a position of authority whether that is in the authority or against could be interesting. There is this talk of war so why not go full out with the new era indy type guys against the likes of Orton, HHH, Batista, Sheamus, etc..have Sting gleefully go against the McMahons and their vision of what is good for business.

But Sting or no Sting, things are interesting enough in the WWE right now.

  11. Lord Fermain says:

Even at that price, instant access to the library and all the PPVs at a fraction of what they would cost without it, is still a pretty fair deal.

If this small price increase breaks your bank, then you’ve got bigger problems in your life and you shouldn’t be wasting resources on an entertainment streaming service.

  12. James says:

It’s not a matter of if the Network is worth more or less than 10 bucks a month…the thing that I don’t understand is that they didn’t get as many subscribers as they wanted, so what that have to do with them wanting to raise the price? They can raise the price…doesn’t bother me. but that won’t get them more subscribers.
