More Backstage News on The Undertaker Losing at WrestleMania, His WWE Future, Fan Reaction

– There was a huge “bullshit” chant that started up after Brock Lesnar defeated The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXX last night after everyone realized what happened. It wasn’t until the 21-1 graphic came up that everyone realized The Streak was over. The chant quieted down and most of the crowd just sat there stunned. Taker did get the standing ovation and a “thank you Taker” chant from most but some did boo while this was going on. Multiple sources report that fans were seen leaving and several were seen crying. Taker’s loss really brought the live crowd down a notch and they didn’t seem to get back into things until well into the main event.

We noted earlier today that Taker was taken to a local hospital last night for fear of a concussion and a neck injury. We also noted that Taker losing was the original plan. This was kept from just about everyone but betting odds started to change shortly before the show began.

It’s said that this was indeed The Undertaker’s decision. We noted before that back in 2010, Taker wanted Lesnar to be the one to end The Streak. This is not confirmed yet but the impression was given backstage that Taker is done. No word yet on how this changes a potential match with Sting at WrestleMania 31.

Maybe Brock is here to stay. On a more regular basis. One thing’s for sure; they made a historic Wrestlemania moment

There seems to be a lot of confusion with what happened last night at Wrestlemania 30 and why The Undertaker lost his streak. I hope to clear some points up.
Lets start with the build up to the macth itself. I found it very dull with Heyman doing all he talking. Nothing he said mattered to me.
Taker and Lesnar had great history together, with Lesnar coming out on top. They should have used this angle with Lesnar showing us clips of him doing so, and maybe even having a warm up match againts another wrestler proving why he should be feared after all.
As this wasnt the case people just assumed Taker would get yet another win as he usually does. So when he got pinned it was more shocking than it appears now.

Takers entrance was good, but when the Lesnar coffin was on fire that seemed strange. I reckon the burning of it indicated that lesnar would not be ‘buried’.
As for the match, it was decent enough. I have no problems with it. But the crowd were rubbish in my opinion and never really got going. The commentators knew it was going to end and just waited until it did without saying much. I wished JR was there.

Now 21-1. The streak has ended. I thought about this business wise. The Undertaker losing is a smart plan. Especially at Mania 30. People will be talking about the loss for years and years to come, making the event infamous. More sales and a Taker streak DVD on the way.
On the other hand that single loss now puts a real pain that there is no more streak and wont be ever again. No more undefeated and no more relevant to talk about. A stain on a near perfect career. Dont get me wrong, we all still love him, but WWE messed this one up for the purists.

But it had to end. And The Undertaker wanted it this way.
Next year at Wrestlemania 31 there is no doubt in my mind that it will be Taker vs Sting in a double retirement match. The match that everyone wants and have wanted to see for the last 15+ years.

With no streak comes no pressure. The match will be 2 of the best of this generation going 1 on 1 for the final time. No gimmicks just a pure wrestling match which will truely be a Wrestlemania moment.
The Angle here is that Sting will challenge Taker, with Taker saying something like whats the point, I have nothing left to fight for. He might even drop the deadman gig. Then naturally Taker will accept.
Win or lose for either man doesnt matter. Just respect in a great match to end it all.

I hope this clears things up a bit on why it ended.
I could be completely wrong on all of this. But i might be correct on all of this, who knows.
Thanks for reading this if you have.

I had the same idea. Sting comes in to challenge Taker for a match. But before that Sting pushes Taker to be strong again which will end with Taker beating Brock probably at Summerslam. This will set up Sting vs Taker for WM 31, which might end with a draw so as to preserve both of their mystique. If the streak was still alive there would be pressure to choose a winner but with it now ended a draw wouldn’t be that big of a problem
