Here’s what you need to know about NXT:

-The NXT Champion is Adrian Neville, who became champion during NXT Arrival on February 27, winning a Ladder Match against Bo Dallas, who had been champion for 260 days

-They also have Tag Team Champions, Konnor and Viktor, better known as The Ascension. They won the belts on October 3, defeating Adrian Neville and Corey Graves

-Paige is the first, and so far only, Woman’s Champion. She captured the belt on July 25 defeating Emma in the finals of a grueling tournament, which was not held in Rio De Janero.

-John “Bradshaw” Layfield is the Interim General Manager of the show, replacing Dusty Rhodes who Triple H fired in a power trip.

-The announce team is constantly rotating with some combination of Byron Saxton, William Regal, Brad Maddox, Alex Riley, Jason Albert (formerly Tensai), Renee Young and Tom Phillips

And that’s everything you need to know about NXT. (Now we know!) (And knowing is half the battle) (G.I. Joe!)

-Before we start, here is my weekly plug to check out both my Epic Tweets in Wrestling History over at WrestleCrap.com, as well as my horrible movie blog as my friend Lauren and I spent the entire month of March reviewing total crap at BadMovieMonth.tumblr.com

-I am LIVE in New Orleans for WrestleMania weekend and already I can confirm a few things….Randy Orton is nice in short increments, Sami Zayn is incredibly polite, Mojo Rawley is a very large man and no one, except for me, recognized The Ascension.

Oh and Jim Cornette told my friend Guy (his real name, believe it or not) that you cannot watch the Jim Cornette podcast. All in all, a pretty eventful day.

1.) Emma submitted Sasha Banks (w/Charlotte)

Emma kicks off the show this week with the Lance Storm trainee, Emma, going one on one with the love of my life. Do you think Sasha knows I exist? Oh, of course she does. Note to Chico: I love the red lipstick.

Emma played things for comedy at the start, doing drop down next to Sasha, who was doing a drop down at the moment. Sasha threw Emma face-first into the turnbuckles to get the heat.

Emma did get the Dil-Emma and the Emma Sandwich for a 2 count. Charlotte hopped onto the apron, but Sasha collided with her and Emma got the win with the Emma Lock.

-A video package aired for Mojo Rawley. He is hyped and sweats a lot.

2.) NXT Tag Team Champions The Ascension defeated Jack Hurley and John Vandal

It is time for the bi-weekly squash match featuring Konnor and Viktor. What a shock that they weren’t noticed on Bourbon Street.

Jack Hurley and John Vandal are the jobbers of the week. You’ll never guess hat happened. If you guessed “Ascension wins a 45-minute classic that reminded everyone of the tag team version of Flair-Steamboat”, I would ask what you were smoking.

-Tyler Breeze has entered the building.

3.) Brodus Clay pinned Xavier Woods.

The grudge match between Brodus Clay and Xavier Woods is on NXT. Yikes.

We get the Brodus of old, from way back in Season 4 of NXT, back when it was him, Fandango and EC3 and he finished second to Dirty Curty.

Brodus throws around the wee man, getting a series of near falls with suplexes and throws.

Xavier fought back and got a near fall with a Shining Wizard, but Clay got the win with a headbutt to the chest, a standing power bomb and a middle rope splash.

-After the match Brodus cut a promo saying WWE took everything from him, including his music, girls, partner and his pride, respect and dignity. He announced that he is going to take the NXT Title.

-Devin Taylor talked to Adrian Neville, who already has a reply to Brodus Clay. Neville accepted the challenge.

4.) Tyler Breeze beat Yoshi Tatsu

I decided it would be best to go to sleep before finishing the show and, of course, I get to see poor Yoshi go down in defeat again, this time to Prince Pretty.

A hump backed dwarf made Tyler’s boots, or at least, that’s what Mr. Regal said. And when did the dastardly Mr. Regal ever lie to us before?

The story of this match is Tyler is no longer the prissy competitor who hates being punched in the face. Of course Yoshi never got one second of offense in the match, so I don’t know how they arrived at that conclusion, however a more aggressive Breeze pinned Yoshi with the Beauty Shot.

-Backstage Sami Zayn has recovered from his concussion and is ready to go tonight.

-Corey Graves is in another part of backstage and talks about wolves attacking a bear who has it’s paw trapped.

-A video on Paige aired. She has wrestled on NXT exactly one time since the beginning of the year. Shouldn’t there be a 30-day defense rule? Mind you Ascension has probably defended their title three times in 5 months.

Paige cuts a promo backstage where she wants to wrestle Charlotte.

5.) Corey Graves beat Sami Zayn via referee stoppage

This feud started four weeks ago when Corey Graves made fun of Sami Zayn for being a jobber. Zayn beat him easily to start the feud and this has led to Graves getting his revenge two weeks ago, by shoving Zayn’s head into the ring post.

The match started with nearly twenty minutes of internet time left, which kinda made me nervous, but it helped that Graves started the match with a stall that would make Larry Zbyszko proud, until Zayn flipped over the top rope and took Graves out.

Corey got the heat with a knee to the head. Corey’s offense just revolved around punches and elbows to the head. You would think the referee would be worried about Sami, who we were fearful had a concussion two weeks ago. In the interest of fairness, he didn’t seem to be concussed when I met him.

Graves his the face-first Vader Bomb thingy Vader used for about 6 months, probably until Hogan told him that he would no-sell it. Zayn fought back, hitting the Blue Thunder Bomb for a 2 count and continues to sell having a concussion. How did he pass his Impact test? Or maybe watching Impact gave him more of a concussion.

The finish saw them butt heads and Graves slap on Lucky 13, which led to the referee stopping the match when Zayn’s concussion led to him no selling the move.

-After the match, The Doctor came down and helped Sami to the back, which is how the show ended. Until next week when I am back in Massachusetts, remember to say your vitamins and take your prayers!
