Wrestling By The Numbers: Seini ‘Lei’D Tapa’ Draughn

TNA Wrestling has announced the release of former 2-Time OVW Women’s Champion Seini ‘Lei’D Tapa’ Draughn. The 31-year-old Germany native had spent the past year with the organization and had been paired with competitor Gail Kim during her time on the main roster. Draughn first appeared on the February 28th episode of Impact Wrestling as a competitor in TNA’s Gut Check Challenge against Ivelisse Velez. She was signed to a developmental contract after the appearance and assigned to Ohio Valley Wrestling where she continued her in-ring training. Since her release was made public on March 14th, Draughn has returned to Ohio Valley Wrestling to gain further experience inside the squared circle.

Seini Draughn has spent 2-years in the professional wrestling business after first debuting back in 2011 after having been trained by her uncle The Barbarian and long-time wrestler George South. Before being signed by TNA she worked for company’s including Premiere Wrestling Xperience and the Allied Independent Wrestling Federations where she became a former 1-Time AIWF Women’s Champion. Before entering the industry Draughn was a standout athlete who quickly gained success in high school playing both volleyball and basketball after her parent moved to the United States. She went on to play NCAA Division 1 Volleyball for Southwest Missouri State University and spent 4-seasons playing football for the Carolina Queen’s in the Independent Women’s Football League after college.
