Mar 3, 2014 - by Steve Gerweck
The news this morning is that Seiya Sanada will now be heading to TNA for an indefinite excursion.
The newly crowned X-Division Champion will be making his debut along with his mentor Great Muta at TNA’s Lockdown PPV on March 9 in Miami, Florida. Sanada will be teaming with Great Muta and Tigre Uno, formerly Extreme Tiger, to take on the team of Chris Sabin, Christopher Daniels, and Kazarian.
Sanada has gone through multiple transformations while being oversees and now with him being a reigning champion this puts a lot more at stake for Sanada to exceed as well as to continue to grow.
Keiji Mutoh stated that after the Ryogoku show yesterday, 3/2, at the Ryogoku Kokugikan that he is looking forward to the continued partnership. The next big show will be on July 6 at Ryogoku and one of the dream matches he aims to make happen is Masakatsu Funaki taking on Kurt Angle.
Mutoh stated that Great Muta has carved a name in history while being in the USA and he hopes that his disciple can find his own place there. He hopes to see the continued evolution of Sanada and hopes that the light continues to shine between Japan and USA.
