This is a recap of OVW TV Episode 758 that will be aired in Louisville on 3/1 and is available online at http://www.ovwrestling.com/tv/758

This week, we begin with a clip from the 2/22 Elizabethtown live event with the “Kendo Sticks on a Pole” match between the Marauders (Shiloh Jonze, Raul Lamotta, Tony Gunn, Nick Dumeyer, & Clint Poe) and Flash Flanagan & OUR OVW Director of Operations Trailer Park Trash. We see Jonze climbing a pole to get one stick and he goes to town until Flash backdrops him and takes it away to use it for himself. We jump ahead to see that the Marauders’’ numbers have yet again overwhelmed Flash and TPT as ref Joe Wheeler tries to restore order. Gunn decks Wheeler and the other Marauders hold him down so Gunn can wallop him with the stick.

After the show opening, we join OUR OVW Announce Team of Dean Hill, Gilbert Corsey, and Michael Titus (no longer wearing a neck brace). Dean is appalled at what he just saw as the Marauders triumphantly come out to the ring, with Jonze carrying a plain kendo stick. Jonze reiterates that the Marauders will do what they want, when they want, how they want, etc. He says that in Elizabethtown they beat Flash and TPT at their own game, beating them into oblivion. He adds that Wheeler chose to stick his nose in their business, so he got dealt with. He adds that nobody has been able to do anything about the Marauders and that they are no finished teaching people lessons. Jonze then turns to OUR OVW Ring announcer Shannon the Dude and accuses him of smirking at them, so he dispatches the other four to fetch Shannon and bring him into the ring. They pull poor, defenseless Shannon down to the mat as Jonze gets ready to use the stick on him. TPT and Flash run out and send the Marauders scurrying out of the ring. TPT has a ball bat while Flash has a green kendo stick and is wearing a shirt that says “Flash & Trash-2 Hicks with Sticks”. TPT admonishes them for what they did to Wheeler (a Hall of Fame official) and he has addressed this issue with OUR OVW Owner “Nightmare” Danny Davis. TPT brings out Wheeler, promising consequences and repercussions if any of the Marauders touch him. Wheeler is sporting a considerable black eye as he joins TPT & Flash in the ring.. TPT then informs them that Davis has made some rulings concerning the 3/1 Saturday Night Special, suspending Poe and also suspending plus fining Gunn! TPT then says Jonze, Lamotta, & Dumeyer will take on himself and Flash in a anything goes street fight at SNS!

Match #1: “The Justin Bieber of Professional Wrestling” Dylan Bostic & “Mexicutioner” Roberto DeLuna vs Deanta Davis & Leon Shelly

Josh Ashcraft is OUR OVW Official for this match as Bostic and DeLuna attack their opponents as the climb into the ring. Bostic quickly disposes of Shelly and the duo has their way with Davis for a bit before DeLuna hiptosses Davis to the corner where he can tag in Shelly. DeLuna catches Shelly’s crossbody and slams him then Bostic slingshots onto him. Bostic then slaps Davis, whom Ashcraft has to remind not to enter without benefit of a tag. DeLuna catches Shelly coming off the ropes him and holds him up so that Bostic can give Shelly the super backcracker for the pin.

Gilbert goes to ringside to get a few words with the winners. He delivers them the news that while their shot at OUR OVW Tag Team Champions Mohamed Ali Vaez & Michael (not PS) Hayes is still on for SNS, he tells them that the doctors have not cleared Hayes to wrestle (from an injury due to DeLuna’s sneak attack a few weeks back). Bostic says that Hayes is really just scared to face “The Justin Bieber of Professional Wrestling” and begins to do some mock crying. DeLuna does some yelling in Spanish until Vaez comes out for a rebuttal, saying that for the past ten months he and Hayes have backed down from no one! He says both himself and the OVW fans believe in Hayes, warning them not to think just because Hayes isn’t cleared to wrestle that they will just hand over the tag belts. Vaez says he will defend the titles by himself if need be, thus unleashing his swimmer’s build upon the dastardly duo!

Gilbert says our main event tonight is Adam Revolver taking on Jamin Olivencia!

Match #2: OUR OVW Hula Hoop Champion Ray Lynn vs OUR OVW Ladies Champion “Queen of Rings” Lei’d Tapa

We have a new ref, who is not identified. Ray Lynn comes out and demonstrates her considerable twerking skills, which she also uses to keep her distance from the clutches of Tapa. This sets off some speculation that perhaps Ray Lynn is smarter than she has previously been given credit for. Tapa finally gets close enough to give her a boot to the booty, sending her into the corner. Ray Lynn climbs up top but Tapa pops her and throws her down to the mat. Tapa grabs Ray Lynn and gives her an F-5 thingy for the pin.

Gilbert goes back to ringside to get thoughts from Tapa, who is defending her title at SNS against Jessie Belle. Gilbert notes that this is the first time Tapa has been on OVW TV since a masked man (or woman?) clubbed her knee several weeks ago. Tapa stops to make Gilbert bow down to her but still hold the mic up to her, which is sure to notch Gilbert a fifth Emmy:) Anyway, Tapa says a shot to the knee doesn’t stop a true champion then promises bad things for the masked person if he/she/it tries to enter her ring, her island to attempt another attack!

Pat McAfee is shown sitting at ringside in the same shirt Flash was wearing earlier. He is not eating popcorn.

OUR OVW Announce Team runs down the card for SNS which includes Tapa vs Belle for the ladies title, Melvin vs Body Guy for TV title, Flash/TPT vs 60% of the Marauders, and OUR OVW Champion “Strongest Gamer Alive” Marcus Anthony defending against Olivencia. Man, Titus’ pompadour is HUGE!

Match #3: “The Teflon Don from Boca Raton” Eddie Diamond vs OUR OVW TV Champion Mr. Marvelous Melvin Maximus

Jordan Barker is OUR OVW Official for this match. Titus thinks Body Guy will beat Melvin at SNS and thus avoid having to wear a dress! Diamond gets shot into the ropes and comes off with a crossbody but can’t keep Melvin down. Diamond tries to grab a wristlock but Melvin pulls him up onto his shoulders, although Diamond slips right off. Diamond comes off the ropes but Melvin catches him in the deadly bearhug, eventually forcing Diamond to tap out. So much for Diamond’s win streak.

The Body Guy (Dean calls him “General Custer” lol) comes out. He says he wasn’t thinking clearly last week when he mentioned the stipulation of himself wearing a dress if he loses. He would like to just make the match just the two of them and the belt. Melvin rejects this idea and tells Body Guy to bring his “most marvelous dress” to SNS! Dean taunts Body Guy as he leaves the ring area.

“Pastor of Disaster” Rev. Stuart Miles comes out followed by a guy in a white robe (who bears a striking resemblance to Ferris Bueller’s buddy Cameron) holding a bible. Miles blesses all us sinners and says that the cleansing is coming soon, in spite of there being those who think they are too high and mighty to need cleansing. The only loyalty he sees around here is to Burger Kings and Queens (FYI: I have worked for both of these) He turns to Dean and tells him that he will pass away before anybody else around here does, so he in particular needs to pay attention! He says last week he found “Cameron”, who wanted to be cleansed! He adds that hope is coming in a good word next week and promises to cleanse OVW one superstar at a time. Dean wonders if there will be baptisms going on. I wonder if there will be some “dancing in the spirit” or maybe some snake handling.

Match #4: Adam Revolver vs Jamin Olivencia

OUR OVW Senior Official “Package” Chris Sharpe is in charge here. Gilbert notes that Revolver is becoming desperate for a victory. Jamin takes Revolver down in a front facelock and hangs on even as Revolver pushes him up. Jamin pulls him back down for 2 but Revolver gets to the ropes. Jamin grabs the legs and takes Revolver down again, this time attempting to grapevine the leg but Revolver again gets to the ropes. Revolver gets blocked down but takes Jamin to the corner for some kicks and chops. Jamin returns the favor followed by a knee to the head, which sends Revolver out of the ring to try and get a time out. Jamin comes out and chops him before rolling him back in. Jamin comes off the top and although Revolver sidesteps, he lands on his feet and dropkicks Revolver. Jamin hits a jumping lariat but turns his head to notice that Anthony and “Career Killer” Timmy Danger have come out to observe. Revolver sends Jamin out with a knee to the back then bangs his head into the apron and into the steps. Revolver tries to get a high five from Anthony but is rebuffed. Back in, Revolver cuts Jamin a flip with a knee to the chest then grabs a rear chinlock on the mat as we go to break.

Back from break, Jamin whips Revolver into the corner but misses a splash as Anthony and Danger are still looking on. Revolver grinds Jamin’s head into a turnbuckle pad then snapmares him before applying a sleeper. Jamin pushes up and fights out then goes for a tenpunch but stops to point at Anthony. Revolver drops to the mat, causing Jamin to fall and Revolver reapplies the sleeper. Jamin fights out and stops to stare at Anthony before giving Revolver a running knee. Jamin gives Revolver the Standing O for the pin then stares a hole through Anthony, who holds up the belt as the show goes off.

THOUGHTS: They did a good job setting up for SNS. I do like that we are getting some action clips to set things up in the TV show. I wonder regardless of who wins between Jamin and Anthony, will they keep having matches with each other? I don’t see any other obvious contenders at the moment. I expect Hayes to appear at SNS, even if briefly.

Vaez was a guest on Chris Silvio’s podcast earlier this week, which is available here: http://costerfeld.podbean.com/2014/02/24/the-chris-silvio-show-episode-10/

This week the show seemed to go by quickly as there was a lot going on. Overall, I’ll give this a thumbs up!
