2/26 WWE Main Event Report



We begin tonight’s show with a graphic In Memory of Nelson Frazier Jr.

We are in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and your announcers are Byron ‘Trust us this took place despite not being seen on the WWE Network yet’ Saxton & Tom ‘The Voice of the WWE Network’ Phillips.

 

Match Number One:Cody Rhodes, Goldust, Fernando, Diego, & El Torito versus Curtis Axel, Ryback, Heath Slater, Drew McIntyre, & Jinder Mahal

 

Goldust and Axel start things off and they lock up. Goldust with a side head lock and shoulder tackle. Goldust with a reverse atomic drop and arm drag. Goldust with a kick and drop down uppercut. Goldust with an arm drag into an arm bar and Cody is tagged in. Axel with a waist lock but Cody with a leg sweep. Cody blocks a hip toss and gives Axel an arm drag. Axel with a kick and chops to Cody.

Axel with a kick and Ryback is tagged in. Ryback sends Cody into the turnbuckles and he chops Cody. Ryback with more chops to Cody and he tries to send Cody into the turnbuckles but Cody blocks it and he sends Ryback into the turnbuckles. Cody with a springboard drop kick to Ryback. Cody with kicks and he tries for Beautiful Disaster but Ryback catches Cody and hits a power bomb.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Drew with a running forearm into the corner and he hits a double sledge off the turnbuckles for a near fall on Cody. Jinder tags in and then he tags in Slater. Jinder with a punch, Drew with a kick, and Slater with a knee drop for a near fall. Slater with a reverse chin lock and forearms. Slater tries to draw Cody’s partners into the ring but they do not bite.

Axel tags in and he connects with an elbow to the back of the head & he pulls at Cody’s face. Axel with a reverse chin lock. Cody with punches but Axel with a knee to the head and he tags in Ryback. Ryback with a leaping leg drop for a near fall. Ryback with a chin lock but Cody with punches.

Ryback presses Cody over his head and he hits a power slam. Ryback sends Goldust and Los Matadores off the apron. Cody hits Beautiful Disaster on Ryback and Cody looks to make the tag and he tags in Torito. Slater comes in and Torito with a head scissors. Slater misses a boot. Torito with a springboard shoulder tackle.

Los Matadores take care of Jinder and Drew and then they hit pescados. Torito with an X Factor to Slater and then Torito goes up top. Cody knocks Axel off the apron with a drop kick. Goldust with a cannonball off the apron onto Axel. Cody with a double jump cross body onto Ryback on the floor.

Torito shakes the ropes and Slater yells at Torito. Torito kicks up some dirt while Slater does some air guitar. They go back and forth and then Slater grabs Torito by the horns but Torito with a kick to Slater followed by a spike head scissors for the three count.

 

Winners: Cody Rhodes, Goldust, Fernando, Diego, and El Torito

 

After the match, Byron asks about being pinned by El Torito. Slater says that it is a bunch of bull. He is way better than this. He refuses to answer any more questions and he walks away.

We take a look at what happened between John Cena and the Wyatt Family on Raw

 

Match Number Two: Natalya & Eva Marie versus Aksana & Alicia Fox

 

Fox and Natalya start things off. They lock up and Alicia backs Natalya into the ropes. Fox with a kick instead of a clean break. Fox with a wrist lock but Natalya with a reversal into a back drop and she gets a near fall. Fox with a head scissors but Natalya with a rollup into a bridge for a near fall. Natalya with a front face lock.

Eva is tagged in and she takes Alicia down with an arm wringer. Fox with a knee and side head lock. Alicia with a tilt-a-whirl back breaker for a near fall. Alicia sends Eva into the corner followed by a Northern Lights suplex for a near fall. Alicia with a reverse chin lock. Eva with an elbow but Alicia tags in Aksana.

Aksana misses a knee drop and Natalya tags in. Natalya with a clothesline followed by a suplex. Natalya with a second suplex followed by a snap mare and drop kick. Natalya with a kick and discus clothesline to Aksana and she tries for the Sharpshooter but Alicia tries to interfere. Eva takes Alicia to the floor. Natalya bumps into Eva and Aksana with a spinebuster for the three count.

 

Winners: Alicia Fox & Aksana

 

We go to commercial.

We are back and we take a look at the end of Raw when Brock Lesnar was confronted by his Wrestlemania opponent.

Byron and Tom talk about Lesnar and Undertaker, but we are interrupted by the man who rises above everyone to give us bad news.

Wade Barrett says that he has some bad news. Over the course of the next month, young American adults will embark on vice filled vacations of debauchery called Spring Break. These American reprobates will be on drunken rampages filled with jail time, loose morals, and pickled livers. Considering these individuals are being groomed to be the leaders of society, it will enhance the decline of a once great nation until sold off to the highest bidder and called the United States of China.

We take a look at what happened to Batista on Raw when he faced Alberto Del Rio only to be distracted by Randy Orton and beaten by Del Rio.

What will Batista say on Friday at Smackdown.

We go to commercial.

We are back and we go to the Triple H interview segment but instead of Triple H, Michael Cole is interviewing the General Manager of NXT, John Layfield, to discuss NXTarRIVAL on Thursday night.

Michael mentions that Kevin Nash, Paul Heyman, and Bret Hart will be on a panel hosted by Renee Young.

John says that Paul is one of the greatest managers of all time, Bret and Kevin are two of the greatest champions. They are very articulate and outspoken. John mentions that Big E Langston, Antonio Cesaro, Summer Rae, and Emma have come from NXT.

John says that as many people have debuted from NXT as came up during the Attitude Era and there are more down in NXT.

 

Match Number Three: Darren Young versus Titus O’Neil

 

They lock up and Titus backs Darren into the corner and he misses an elbow. Young with punches but Titus with a slam. Titus misses an elbow drop and he hits a sliding clothesline for a near fall. Young punches Titus. Young tries for a sunset flip but Titus picks up Darren and sends him into the turnbuckles. Darren with a kick and elbow. Titus knocks Darren off the turnbuckles and Darren lands hard on the mat.

Titus sends Darren into the turnbuckles and he barks. Titus with a leg drop for a near fall. Titus with a quarter nelson and chin lock. Titus sends Darren into the turnbuckles and then tosses him around the ring. Titus pats himself on the shoulder and then he kicks Darren in the corner. Titus with a short arm clothesline and he gets a near fall.

Titus gets another near fall. Titus returns to the quarter nelson and chin lock. Titus with knees to prevent any offense from Darren. Titus with a chop in the corner followed by a splash in the corner. Titus barks again and then he chokes Darren in the corner. Titus barks a third time while Young struggles to get back to his feet. Titus with a forearm and then he tries for a fall away slam or Samoan drop but Darren counters with a sunset flip for the three count.

 

Winner: Darren Young

Match Number Four: Sin Cara versus Damien Sandow

 

The lights go down and they lock up. Sandow with a kick and punches in the corner. Sandow with kicks and more punches while the referee warns him. Sandow with a suplex for a near fall. Sandow with a reverse chin lock. Cara with a forearm but he misses a springboard cross body when Sandow moves. Sandow with punches and he hangs Cara over the apron and connects with an elbow for a near fall.

Sandow with knees to the midsection followed by a side Russian leg sweep and he punches Car instead of the Elbow of Disdain. Sandow with an elbow drop for a near fall. Sandow with a quarter nelson and chin lock. Sandow with a series of knee drops for a near fall.

Sandow puts Cara on the turnbuckles but Cara with punches and a tornado DDT. Cara gets a near fall. Cara with a head scissors and then he goes up top and hits a moonsault for a near fall. Cara with a handspring back elbow for a near fall. Cara tries for a modified Olympic Slam but Sandow with an Edgecution for a near fall.

Cara with a rollup into a one arm power bomb for a near fall. Cara goes up top for the Swanton but Sandow hits the ropes and Cara falls to the mat. Sandow gets a near fall. Sandow sets for a modified Sharpshooter but Cara escapes. Sandow with forearms and kicks to Cara.

Cara with an enzuigiri and then Cara goes up top for the Swanton and the three count.

 

Winner: Sin Cara
