WWE Elimination Chamber Coverage: Intercontinental Championship



Elimination Chamber begins with the opening video hyping the Elimination Chamber match.


WWE Intercontinental Championship Match: Big E vs. Jack Swagger (w/Zeb Colter)

Big E starts out in control of the match and sends Swagger to the outside. Swagger gets back into the ring, but Big E keeps control. Big E backs Swagger into the corner and then drives his shoulder into his midsection. Swagger and Big E go to the outside, and Big E sends Swagger into the steel steps. Big E turns his attention to Colter, but then back to Swagger. Big E tosses Swagger back into the ring and goes for the cover, but Swagger kicks out at two. Swagger comes back and takes control of the match. He sends Big E to the outside, but then brings him back into the ring. Swagger goes for the cover, but Big E quickly powers out. Big E backs Swagger into the corner, but Swagger counters and slams Big E down to the mat. Swagger drops a leg and goes for the cover, but Big E kicks out at two. Swagger gets Big E in a front lock down on the mat, but Big E counters and slams Swagger to the mat. Both men come off the ropes and drop the other with a clothesline. Big E backs Swagger into the corner and delivers a couple right hands. Big E sends Swagger to the other corner and charges, but Swagger moves and Big E goes shoulder-first into the ring post. Swagger goes for a roll-up, but Big E kicks out at two. Big E comes back and delivers a belly-to-belly suplex and goes for the cover, but Swagger kicks out at two. Swagger comes back and delivers a spine-buster to Big E. Swagger goes for the cover, but Big E kicks out at two. Big E comes back and goes for the Big Ending, but Swagger holds on and lands on the apron. Big E comes off the ropes and takes himself and Swagger down to the floor. Big E grabs Swagger and tosses him back into the ring. Big E goes for the cover, but Swagger kicks out at two. Big E goes to the top rope, but Swagger cuts him off. Swagger tosses Big E down to the mat and goes for the cover, but Big E kicks out at two. Swagger comes off the ropes and takes out Big E’s leg. Swagger locks in the Patriot Lock, but Big E breaks the hold. Swagger goes for the Gut-wrench bomb, but Big E fights out again. Big E drops Swagger to the mat and then sets up for the Big Ending. Swagger rolls through and locks in the Patriot Lock. Big E counters with an enziguri and then connects with the Big Ending and gets the pin fall.

After the match, Bad News Barrett’s music hits and he rises up on his podium. Barrett talks about Russia winning more gold medals than the United States in the Olympics. He says in four years, Mother Russia will reign supreme again.

We see a short video confirming that Hulk Hogan is retuning to the WWE to host WrestleMania XXX, and he will be live on Raw tomorrow night.

We take a look back to this past Monday Night Raw, where Daniel Bryan was brutally beaten down by the Director of Operations, Kane. We then see the same thing happening against on this past Friday Night Smackdown.

We go backstage with Byron Saxton, who is joined by Daniel Bryan. Bryan says he is going to go all-out. Bryan says the match will be painful and he opponents will go after his injured shoulder. He says he will give everything he has to win and to go on to main event WrestleMania. He begins a “YES!” chant.

    Good match, Big E is a good wrestler and so is Swagger…I just can’t see both ever popping and staying in the Main Event for long.
