2/15 TNA House Show Results from Austin, TX‏

by Travis Banks

Tonight TNA hit the Cedar Park Center for their third show in the Austin area. The CPC is home to minor league affiliates of both the San Antonio Spurs and the Dallas Stars and can hold around 8000 people. Attendance was probably around 750.

Jimmy Jay (?) greets us outside and goes over the rules and all of the merchandise we can buy. The meet and greet features Sam Shaw, The Wolves, EC3 and The Bromans. Gail Kim signs autographs at the merch stand.

1. Austin Aries def. Chris Sabin. Comedy match for some reason.

2. Madison Rayne def. Gail Kim

3. EC3 def. James Storm

4. Mr. Anderson def. Sam Shaw in a 2 out of 3 falls match. Sam Shaw won the first fall by attacking Anderson during his entrance. Anderson gets the second fall when he reverses a cradle. Anderson wins the third fall with a mic check.

5. The Wolves def. The Bromans by DQ

Intermission. Madison Rayne signs autographs in the merch stand. Crew assembles the steel cage.

6. Cage Match: Magnus def. Samoa Joe via EC3 interference. Joe destroys EC3 afterwards and we can take a pic with Joe for $20.

Total show time was around 2 hours. Very short matches and the wrestlers appeared to be going through the motions. Not the best of shows.

  1. Really? says:

Damn, I know! I can’t believe they can’t sell double the current going amount of tickets sold for WWE house shows!

Oh wait, that doesn’t at all surprise me. 750 (if it really was that, a lot of time TNA attendance gets underreported, like in the UK where it was pretty obvious the initial reports were lowballing big time) sounds about average for a TNA house show. The big question is why they booked it in an arena that size knowing they don’t sell nearly that many tickets.
