2008 – World Wrestling Entertainment signed 2007 Diva Search contestant Taryn Terrell, who would debut as Tiffany on the main roster

2008 – The Scarborough Evening News in Great Britain featured an article on a man accused of claiming to be Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in order to receive gifts from The Manchester Football club.  Wayne Scott, 35, is charged with three counts of fraud, two counts of malicious communication & one count of failing to surrender to police

2010 – Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom in Louisville, Kentucky, which for many years hosted Ohio Valley Wrestling events featuring WWE stars & developmental performers was shut down, effective immediately by parent company Six Flags.    The park had been run at a loss for several years

2012 – Chris Hero reported to WWE developmental under his new ring name Kassius Ohno

2012 – WWE announced Ron Simmons would be inducted into the 2012 class of the WWE Hall of Fame

1876 – William Muldoon defeated American Collar-and-Elbow Champion James Owens in Boston, Massachusetts, but Owens continued to claim the title

1958 – Lee Fields & Lester Welch defeated The Corsicans (Jean & Joe) to win the Mid-America NWA World Tag Team Titles in Hattiesburg, Mississippi

1964 – Hard Boiled Haggerty defeated Neff Maivia to win the NWA Hawaii Heavyweight Title in Honolulu, Hawaii

1965 – The Sheik defeated Johnny Valentine for the Detroit NWA United States Heavyweight Title in Detroit, Michigan

1970 – Abdullah the Butcher defeated Billy Robinson to win the Stampede North American Heavyweight Title in Calgary, Alberta

1973 – Buddy Colt defeated Mark Lewin to win the Florida NWA Southern Heavyweight Title in Tampa, Florida

1977 – Bobo Brazil defeated The Sheik to win the Toronto NWA United States Heavyweight Title in Toronto, Ontario

1978 – Victoria Fujimi & Nancy Kumi defeated Mariko Akagi & Chino Sato to win the vacant WWWA World Tag Team Title in Osaka, Japan

1984 – Iceman King Parsons defeated The Super Destroyer (Scott Irwin) to win the World Class Television Title in Fort Worth, Texas

1995 – Jerry Lawler defeated Sid Vicious to win the USWA Unified World Heavyweight Title in Memphis, Tennessee

1997 – Mariko Yoshida defeated Lady Apache to win the CMLL World Women’s Title in Tokyo, Japan. Yoshida was stripped of the title by CMLL in February 1999 due to lack of defenses

1999 – The Scufflin’ Hillbillies (Maynard R. Neck & Big Chuck Wagon) defeated Bobo Brown & Pete Christie to win the NWA Michigan Tag Team Title in Burton, Michigan

2002 – Doug Basham & Damaja defeated The Lords of the Ring (Rob Conway & Nick Dinsmore) to win the OVW Southern Tag Team Title in Jeffersonville, Indiana

    February 6, 1990 – NWA Clash of the Champions X: Texas Shootout takes place. This event saw Sting being kicked out of the Horsemen and also later in the evening blowing his knee out when he tried to scale the cage to get at the Horsemen
