Anonymous WWE superstar: “just relax and enjoy the product”

F4Wonline.com reports that a top WWE Superstar, who asked to remain anonymous, asked them to print the following letter in this week’s newsletter:

“Internet is so funny. You all read the sites so you all should know the ‘plans’ for Mania. None of those plans have Bryan in a title match so the internet exploding at the end of the show is beyond laughable. Plus dont hate on Rey, he didn’t book himself as #30. The way most of you were acting the company should have called an audible and put Brooklyn Brawler as #30 just to piss you off even more. over 50,000 mania tix sold and a network that will change your life for ever is about to launch, so just relax and enjoy the product the company gives you. By the way, didn’t you all sh*t on the wwe for the Sept – Nov ppvs last year and said you were done, but turned around to watch/buy the Rumble? Pittsburgh you were an awesome crowd and it was an honor to be in your building last night”

Yeah, all I read was “take your medicine and like it”. That’s an absurd stance to take with your audience. Those who complain have every right to complain. If they keep watching, so be it. It’s pretty ridiculous for all of these guys to come out and criticize us for criticizing their product. It just makes people hate the product more that people within the company truly do not care what their audience thinks. The reality is as much as they keep saying “well, you still tune in every week” isn’t completely true. The “internet wrestling community” is not the target audience anymore. WWE targets kids who don’t use social media or sites like this. So, the people complaining aren’t really watching anymore. The “Attitude Era” used to have ratings over 6 and as high as 8.5 on Raw. WWE now struggles to get a 3.5 on a consistent basis. So, no, we will not just lay down and swallow our pill.

@Havok: Apparently not, hence why the WWE is always confiscating signs from paying fans at shows. If they are inappropriate I understand, but just b/ct they say Benoit, or a website, or CM Punk, or TNA, is not reason to take them away
