World Wrestling Entertainment has announced the release of former 1-Time WWE Divas Champion Celeste ‘Kaitlyn’ Bonin. The 27-year-old Houston Texas native had spent the last 3-and a half years with the WWE after having been signed in July of 2010. Bonin was first assigned to Florida Championship Wrestling where she first appeared under the names Celeste and then Riki Vaughn. In late August she made her FCW television debut competing as Kaitlyn. Bonin was the winner of WWE NXT Season 3 paired with pro Vickie Guerrero after being a late replacement after wrestler Aloisia was released prior to the season debuting. Over the last 3-years she had been one of the top divas in the WWE and had top feuds with the likes of A.J. Lee and Eve Torres. It has been reported Bonin requested her release back on January 8th stating she wanted to get back into the fitness industry and planned to launch a new clothing line.

Celeste Bonin’s tenure of 3-and a half years with the WWE encompasses her entire career in the professional wrestling industry as she was signed to the company with no prior experience in the business. Bonin was a former fitness model who won the 2007 National Physique Committee John Sherman Classic Bodybuilding Figure And Fitness Championship only a year after she started doing competitions. The same year she was also a ranked competitor at the Arnold Classic and Musclemania Superbody events. From 2008-2009 she worked mainly as a model and appeared in both Flex Magazine and Hardfitness Calendars.
