Jan 10, 2014 - by staff
Kick off the new year the right way — with a bodyslam! WWE Live is coming to Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza, Wilkes-Barre, this Friday, Jan. 10 beginning at 7:30 p.m. The featured main event is John Cena verses Randy Orton in a WWE World Heavyweight Championship match. Other WWE Superstars scheduled to appear include Ryback, Alberto Del Rio, Dolph Ziggler, The Real Americans, Sin Cara, Cody Rhodes, Goldust and The Bella Twins (card subject to change). Ryback called the electric city and diamond city offices and we peppered him with 12 tough questions.
What’s the best thing about being in the WWE?
The best thing is that it’s a childhood dream of mine. I grew up watching it. I get to be a larger-than-life cartoon character every day when I wake up. It’s an amazing feeling and I’m thankful for each and every day.
What wrestling great would you like as a tag-team partner?
Another tough one. A guy like Brock Lesnar. I believe we are very similar breeds as far as style and intensity. I think if you tagged us together, that’s an unstoppable force that would never be beaten
We read that growing, one of your nicknames was Silverback. What are some other nicknames you’ve had?
That (Silverback) was my nickname when I was a kid, but I call myself the Big Guy now because when people see me they say “Hey Big Guy!”
Ryback touches on a lot of other things, like his 1st ever concert, what legend from the past he’d like to have faced, hobbies, & more.
