Wrestling By The Numbers: Eddie Edwards

Eddie Edwards

Ring Of Honor Wrestling has parted ways with former 1-Time ROH Champion, 2-Time ROH Tag-Team Champion and 1-Time ROH Television Champion Eddie Edwards. The 30-year-old Boston Massachusetts native had spent the previous 7-years in ROH where he became the first ever triple crown champion in company history. Edwards’ first joined the organization in December of 2006 and quickly became associated with Larry Sweeney’s Sweet And Sour Inc.. In late 2008 Edwards started his tag-team with Davey Richards known as The American Wolves and the duo become one of the greatest in the history of ROH. Between 2010-2012 both Edwards and Richards became main event singles competitors and feuded with each other over the ROH Championship. The American Wolves had reunited over their finals months with the company prior to the announcement of their departure. Edwards teamed with B.J. Whitmer against Jay Lethal and Roderick strong at the 2013 Final Battle Event in his farewell match.

Eddie Edwards is a 12-year veteran of professional wrestling who first debuted back in 2002 after having been trained by Killer Kowalski. Prior to his ROH career Edwards competed for numerous independent organizations including New England Championship Wrestling, Top Rope Promotions, Maryland Championship Wrestling, the Millennium Wrestling Federation and others. He also has worked regularly with Pro Wrestling NOAH in Japan where he first competed in tours with the organization starting back in 2005. Since parting ways with ROH Edwards has returned to Pro Wrestling Guerrilla and also appeared alongside Davey Richards on the WWE’s NXT Wrestling developmental television program.
