Update on WWE’s holiday TV taping schedule

WWE taped the December 23 edition of Monday Night RAW for next week last
night in Austin, Texas, but will have the December 30 RAW live as usual.
The company is also taping two episodes of Smackdown tonight and tomorrow
which will air on December 26 and January 2 respectively. WWE Superstars,
Divas, and crew will have a few days off for the holidays, with the last
show taped on the 19th and then resuming the tour on December 26. The week
between Christmas and New Year is jam packed with two shows on the 26th,
27th, 28th, 29th, and 30th. It’s interesting to note that WWE will run a
non-televised event on December 30 head-to-head with RAW, something that
they rarely do since most talent is at the three hour RAW taping. After
December 30, the next show is on January 3, giving everyone three days off
for New Years.

I’d imagine the December 30 RAW is going to be a simpler show. I don’t expect WWE to make a TNA choice and only send lower carders to the show.

Besides they could always send one of the main event pairs to that show and speak to them live via satellite on the RAW broadcast.

But on the flipside this sounds like the perfect night for a surprise return.
