(UPDATED) Adam Pearce Denies Retirement

Adam Pearce emailed the following to PWInsider:

“Apparently I’m “retiring” at Wrestling Cares Association on January 18. Except I never said that.

I’ll be at every date on my schedule.

A press release issued by Wrestling Cares listed Pearce’s “retirement match” against Adam Page as part of the card.


Via a press release, Wrestling Cares had announced Adam Pearce’s retirement match would be against Adam Page on WCA’s 1/15/14 show in Gardena, Ca. show.


That event will also feature the finals of their year-long “Race for the Ring” tournament which features ROH champion Adam Cole vs. DGUSA champ Johnny Gargano. The finals will feature a 30 minute time limit under WCA Race for the Ring rules with each competitor trying to score points via pinfall and submissions with the winner being the competitor with the most points at the end of the time limit.

Also announced for the event:

*Katarina Leigh (aka Winter) vs. Cheerleader Melissa

*The Forver Hooligans vs. Oliver John & Timothy Thatcher for the Golden State Tag Team championship under Race for the Ring rules.

*Aaron Aguilera vs. Brian Cage.

*B-Boy vs. Willie Mack vs. Brandon Gatson.

Maria Kanellis will host the event.
