In Memoriam

On this day in 2008, the wrestling world lost former WWF and ECW jobber Mike Bell aged just 37. Bell is perhaps best remembered for his WWF match against Perry Saturn, where Saturn repeatedly stiffed Bell after Bell failed to execute a snapmare. On a side note, it is rumoured that Saturn was given the ‘Moppy’ gimmick as punishment for his actions. Bell was found dead in a rehabilitation centre in California, having suffered from an undisclosed drug addiction leading up to his death. Bell’s struggle with addiction was featured in the documentary ‘Bigger, Stronger, Faster’
