Maria Kanellis interview, AJ Styles notes‏

submitted by a reader…

Maria Kanellis did an interview with the Law radio on Sunday night here http://fightnetwork.com/news/43704:dec.-8-edition-of-live-audio-wrestling-w-maria-kanellis/ She once again called the Bellas out for getting her and other divas blocked from the company because they didn’t want to share the spotlight. She also criticised Nikki for signing Cena’s degrading roommate contract on Total Divas which she says is 100% real and not an angle for the show.

Speaking of Maria, her new horror movie, Army of the Damned, co-starring Tommy Dreamer and Thea Trinidid, got good reviews from Bloody Disgusting a http://bloody-disgusting.com/news/3268354/exclusive-godsmacks-shannon-larkin-reviews-bandmate-sully-erna-in-army-of-the-damned/ and Morbidly Amusing http://www.morbidlyamusing.com/army-of-the-damned-2013-review/

Dave Meltzer talked about the AJ Styles situation in depth on Sunday night’s Wrestling Observer radio.

He said internally the Styles thing wasn’t a surprise, and that people should probably expect other high-profile names (Roode, Storm, Kazarian, Daniels) to leave soon too if they’re deals come up. Within TNA management there’s the mentality that they’re now the “$300 dollar a night promotion” and the aim now is to find the best, unknown indie talent who will work for as little as possible. While Styles and the other well known names weren’t making huge money, they were making more than that so TNA is eager to cut their salaries. Meltzer said Sting and Kurt, who both make great money, may be the only exceptions to the rule.

  1. Really? says:

He’s still pissed about Janice Carter debunking his “TNA is for sale” rumor. Now he’s letting himself get worked by the AJ storyline. Pretty embarrassing.

  2. echo says:

So Meltzer is saying that Jeff Hardy and Anderson make only $300 a night too, and they’re OK with that?

  3. AJ Cooper says:

And, of course, Mr. Anti-Brains (a.k.a. Mr. Anti-TNA) is gonna be eating up Meltzer’s BS. It’s like I said in the article about AJ leaving TNA….if he does leave, I’m pretty damn sure it won’t be for long, as Janice is smart enough, business-wise, to hold onto the talent that helped get TNA to where it is today, and that for sure is NOT the established talent from WWE. I mean, she would be stupid to let go of TNA’s home-grown talent, as it would send the message that WWE’s overflow, as well as the other wrestling legends, are more important than the guys that have been there since day one. I find it funny that Mr. Anti-TNA uses that name, yet says I’M the one who’s delusional. That’s like the pot calling the kettle black, as the old saying goes.

  4. AJ Cooper says:

Sorry, meant to say Janice would NOT be stupid enough to let go of TNA’s home-grown talent.
