Dec 6, 2013 - by staff

Championship Wrestling from Hollywood, the last promotion Percy Pringle regularly worked for prior to his passing, will be holding a free memorial show in his honor this Sunday 12/9.

The promotion released the following announcement in support of the show:

Hollywood, CA – Championship Wrestling from Hollywood is proud to present the PP3 Memorial Cup on Sunday, December 8, 2013 at the Oceanview Pavillion in Port Hueneme, California at 3pm (PST). Admission is free to all those who attend. This year’s event will feature six trios matches (six man tag matches) with the winners from each team entering an over-the-top rope battle royal to determine the winner of the cup. The winner of the PP3 Memorial Cup will receive a guaranteed championship opportunity against the champion of their choice.

The top stars of Championship Wrestling from Hollywood have assembled into 12 teams with each member looking to win the coveted PP3 Memorial Cup. The event will include stars such as “Main Event” James Morgan, Willie Mack, “Greek God” Papadon, PPray (“Pretty” Peter Avalon & Ray Rosas), “Mirror Image” Ricky Mandel, B-Boy, Matt Striker and last year’s PP3 Cup winner Ryan Taylor.

Aside from the trios matches and the battle royal there will be two championship matches and a special open challenge. Scorpio Sky will defend the Hollywood Heritage Championship against former ally Big Duke in a Last Man Standing match. Also, “Hollywood’s Own” Joey Ryan will defend the MAVTV Championship against Leo Blaze of the Family Stone. Johnny Yuma and Johnny Goodtime of the RockNES Monsters have also issued an open challenge.

The PP3 Memorial Cup is held to honor the memory of the late, great Percy Pringle, III. Pringle is a member the Championship Wrestling from Hollywood family and the promotion hopes to make him proud by continuing the annual event. “When Percy passed, we shelved the idea of the PP3 Cup as it was going to be an annual event, but after putting extensive thought into it, we decided to continue the annual tradition and honor our friend whom we all dearly miss,” said David Marquez, owner of Championship Wrestling from Hollywood.

Championship Wrestling from Hollywood is a David Marquez Production and can be seen every Sunday morning at 2 am PST on KDOC-TV in the Los Angeles area and on MAVTV every Wednesday morning at 12 am PST. Also, catch new and past episodes online at
