NO RING REQUIRED

Legends Bobby Fulton and Nikolai Volkoff battled it out without a wrestling ring on an independent show in Ohio.

Bobby Fulton commented via Facebook:

This isn’t the first time a ring hasn’t showed up & it won’t be the last time. The show must go on. The fans were into it. Everyone was PROFESSIONAL. God bless the fans & everyone who was apart of this show. I had a great time and was blessed by the kind words of the wrestlers who kept the show going. Terry Tackett is a class act!!!

So was the independent show like the wrestling at the Olympics where they wrestle without a ropes and have points?

Saw more actual wrestling in this match than in most first hours of RAW.

I have to give both Bobby and Nikolai credit for making due with what they had and still give 110%.

Professional? The talent certainly were, but I don’t think the same can be said for a basketball gym with 15 people sitting around watching. Such a shame, these great, storied performers definitely deserved more, even if they were gracious in their assessment of the situation.
