Today is also Elizabeth’s birthday, as well. But she died when Jamie was only like 9, so it doesn’t count.

  2. Jamie says:

Feel free to hate, however, the real reason I haven’t included Elizabeth’s birthday is because my sources say she was born on the 19th.

Feel free to correct me, I readily admit (and always have done) that some of my information may come from unreliable sources

  3. Roscoe Jones says:

    Your sources = Wikipedia

Wikipedia = wrong. Savage and Liz had the same bday.

I don’t hate I’m just busting your stones.

I come to this site for the sole purpose of seeing This Day in History and I can often name more things that happened on a certain date than you do. I do this of the top of my head, yet you claim to perform “research”.

You give incomplete ppv rundowns and don’t include a lot of important things that may have happened on a particular date. Your excuse of “I only included the ppv matches that were important” is awful. Why not just post the results in their entirety? I mean if you’re gonna do a website post, don’t be half assed about it.

You didn’t even include Bret vs Owen in your Mania X rundown. And then you use the worst excuses ever like “I was 9 when it happened!” It’s just a shoddy way to be if you’re going to run a website.

  4. Jamie says:

Firstly, my source is not Wikipedia, my source is OnlineWorldOfWrestling.com – always has been. It may be wrong on occasion, but few people who call it out ever point me to a conflicting source.

The reason I do incomplete PPV rundowns is because back when I first started this column, people complained that it was too long to read. The logical choice to shorten it seemed to be to remove what I considered (and in some cases I was wrong or overlooked something, I’ll readily admit that) ‘nothing’ matches on the PPVs

Also, I have never used my age as an excuse for missing stuff out. The one time I recall using my age in a comment was when I was asked about something which had happened in the Texas territories in the early 80’s. I simply made the point that whilst this was what I believe happened, I was not there at the time to experience it firsthand, so my interpretation may be different
