Hell in a Cell Kickoff kicks off with Josh Mathews welcoming us to the show and introducing the Superstar Panel, which consists of Dolph Ziggler, R-Truth, and Kaitlyn. Ziggler says he is intrigued by John Cena’s return, Truth says he is looking forward to a new WWE Champion being crowned, and Kaitlyn says Daniel Bryan and AJ Lee could be the new Power Couple by the end of the night. Josh Mathews sends it to Renee Young in the Social Media Lounge. Renee tells us to vote for Mr. Hell in a Cell. Our choices are Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Mick Foley, The Undertaker and Randy Orton.

We go backstage and we see The Miz talking to Vickie Guerrero. Miz says he wants Bray Wyatt in a match tonight, and Vickie says he is no medically cleared to compete, so no. Miz says he guesses there will be a fight and walks away.

Back with the Superstar Panel, and Big E. Langston has joined the panel. They talk about the Handicap Hell in a Cell Match, which will pit the team of Paul Heyman and Ryback against CM Punk.

Josh Mathews informs us that the Triple Threat Match for the WWE Tag Team Championship will kick off the show. The Shield joins the Panel for an interview. Rollins says it is an injustice that they didn’t get a straight up rematch against The Rhodes Family and it’s an injustice that they wouldn’t have even lost if it weren’t for The Big Show. Roman Reigns says their bond is stronger than the other two teams and everybody always needs to believe in The Shield. Langston brings up the fact that Dean Ambrose is always helping Reigns and Rollins and challenges Ambrose for the U.S. title. Ambrose says Langston doesn’t deserve it, but Langston keeps pushing. Ambrose grants Langston his wish.

We see a video hype package for John Cena’s return tonight.

Damien Sandow vs. Kofi Kingston
Kingston controls the match early on and tosses Sandow out to the floor. Kingston goes out after him and tosses him back into the ring at the five count, but Sandow takes control. Sandow stomps away on Kingston as we head to a “commercial” break.
We’re back and Sandow is still in control of the match. Sandow delivers a few right hands to Kingston’s midsection and then delivers an elbow shot. Sandow takes Kingston down with a hip toss and goes for a leg drop, but Kingston moves out of the way. Kingston sends Sandow to the corner and charges, but Sandow gets his boot up and sends Kingston down to the mat. Sandow stands on the ropes, but Kingston takes him down with a head-scissors take down. Kingston connects with the Boom Drop. Kingston sets up for Trouble in Paradise, but Sandow counters. Kingston comes back with a cross-body from the top rope and goes for the cover, but Sandow kicks out at two. We see Rey Mysterio calling the action at the Spanish announce table. Sandow slams Kingston down to the mat with the You’re Welcome and gets the pin fall.
Winner: Damien Sandow.

We go back to Renee Young in the Social Media Lounge and she reads a few tweets from the WWE Universe. She reveals the winner of the Mr. Hell in a Cell vote, and The Undertaker wins in a landslide.

The Superstar Panel make their picks for the WWE Championship Match. Kaitlyn says it all depends on Shawn Michaels, Truth picks Daniel Bryan, and Dolph Ziggler picks Randy Orton.

Josh Mathews closes the show as the camera pans upwards and we see the Hell in a Cell structure hanging high above the ring.

We see an opening video to hype the Hell in a Cell Match and the big feuds going into tonight’s pay-per-view. We go live into the arena in Miami, Florida, where Michael Cole, Jerry Lawler, and John Bradhsaw Layfield welcome us to the show.

WWE Tag Team Championship Triple Threat Match: Cody Rhodes and Goldust (c) vs. The Shield (Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins) vs. The Usos (Jey and Jimmy)
Goldust and Rollins start the match out. Goldust gets the better of Rollins, who tags in Jey Uso. Goldust takes Jey down with an Atomic Drop and a kick to the head. Goldust goes for the cover, but Jey kicks out at two. Goldust tags in Rhodes, who comes in and slams Jey down to the mat. Rhodes goes for the cover, but Jey kicks out at two. Jey gets away and tags in Jimmy, who takes Rhodes down and goes for two quick covers. Jimmy slams Rhodes down and goes for another cover, but Rhodes kicks out at two. Rhodes gets away and tags in Goldust, and Jimmy tags in Jey. Goldust delivers a series of right hands to Jey, but Reigns grabs Goldust and slams him into the ring apron after a blind tag. Reigns tosses Goldust into the ring and goes for the cover, but Goldust kicks out at two. Reigns tags in Rollins, who goes to work on Goldust. Rollins kicks Goldust in the head on the ring apron. Rollins gets back into the ring and goes for the cover, but Goldust kicks out at two. Rollins knocks Rhodes off the apron and goes right back after Goldust. Rollins takes Goldust to the corner and tags in Reigns. Reigns drops Goldust with a right hand and goes for the cover, but Goldust kicks out at two. Down on the mat, Reigns locks in a headlock on Goldust. Goldust gets free and drops Reigns with a back-slide, but only gets a two count. Reigns comes back with an elbow and drops Goldust to the mat and goes for the cover, but Goldust kicks out at two. Reigns drops an elbow on Goldust and goes for the cover, but Goldust kicks out at two again. Goldust comes back and delivers a DDT to Reigns. Reigns tags in Rollins, who dropkicks Rhodes off the apron. Rollins takes Goldust down and tags in Reigns again. Goldust goes to tag one of the Usos, but Reigns and Rollins pull both Usos off the apron. Reigns gets into the ring and takes Goldust down and goes for the cover, but Rhodes breaks it up at two. Reigns slams Goldust into the corner and then takes him into the opposite corner. Reigns charges, but Goldust moves and takes Reigns down with a power slam. Goldust finally tags in Rhodes, who takes Reigns down with a missile dropkick. Reigns tags Rollins and Rhodes takes him down with a moonsault. Rhodes goes for the cover, but Rollins kicks out at two. Rhodes catches Rollins on the top rope and kicks him in the midsection. Jimmy tags Rhodes and Rollins sends Rhodes to the floor. Jimmy takes Rollins down with a cross-body and goes for the cover, but Rollins kicks out at two. Jey sends Goldust and Reigns to the outside and takes them both out with a suicide dive. Jimmy takes Rollins down with a Samoan Drop and goes for the cover, but Rollins kicks out at two. Rhodes tags himself back in and goes for Cross Rhodes on Rollins, but Rollins backs Rhodes into the corner and delivers a big kick. Rollins and Rhodes fight on the ropes and Rhodes suplexes Rollins all the way down to the floor and takes everybody out. Back in the ring, Rhodes goes for the cover on Rollins, but Jey breaks up the count with a Samoan Splash from the top rope. Reigns gets back into the ring and delivers a Spear to Jey. Goldust takes out Reigns and Rhodes goes for the Disaster Kick on Rollins. Rollins catches him, but Goldust kicks Rollins in the face. Rhodes drops Rollins with Cross Rhodes and gets the pin fall.
Winners and still WWE Tag Team Champions: Cody Rhodes and Goldust.

We see Triple H and Shawn Michaels talking backstage.

We see a video for WWE’s newest app: “John Cena’s Fast Lane.”

The Miz’s music hits and he makes his way to the ring. He cuts a promo on The Wyatt Family and he calls Bray Wyatt to the ring. We see Bray Wyatt appear on the Titan Tron. Wyatt tells Miz that he feels sorry for him because he can’t see the monster that lives behind his eyes. The lights go out in the arena and come back on, and Luke Harper and Erick Rowan are in the ring. Rowan and Harper begin beating down The Miz. Kane’s music hits and he comes to the ring to make the save. Kane clears the ring of Harper and Rowan. Kane then delivers a choke slam to Miz.

Mixed Tag Team Match: Fandango and Summer Rae vs. The Great Khali and Natalya.
Fandango and Khali start the match off and Khali tosses Fandango down to the mat. Khali delivers a big chop to Fandango. Natalya and Summer get into the ring and Natalya takes Summer down. Summer comes back and gets a quick cover attempt, but Natalya powers out at one. Summer takes Natalya down with a dropkick. Fandango gets into the ring and Natalya tries to lock the Sharpshooter on him, but he gets away. Khali slams Fandango down to the mat, but Fandango comes back and takes Khali down. Natalya slaps Fandango across the face and Khali gets to his feet. Fandango tags in Summer and Natalya comes into the ring. Natalya takes Summer down with a suplex and then a clothesline. Natalya goes for the Sharpshooter, but Summer gets to the ropes. Summer gets a roll up on Natalya and gets the pin fall.
Winners: Summer Rae and Fandango.

We go to the expert Superstar panel, and Kaitlyn says she was excited to see some Divas action in that last match. Truth says he loved the Triple Threat for the tag titles. Miz says he was shocked that The Miz called out The Wyatt Family the way he did.

WWE United States Championship Match: Dean Ambrose (c) vs. Big E. Langston

Ambrose slaps Langston across the face, but Langston slams him down to the mat and goes for a quick cover and Ambrose kicks out at two. Langston sends Ambrose off the ropes and then delivers a back-breaker. Langston takes Ambrose to the corner, but Ambrose comes back and delivers a few elbows to Langston. Langston comes back and delivers a high knee to Ambrose. Langston slams Ambrose down again and goes for the cover, but Ambrose kicks out at two. Ambrose gets to his feet and locks in a headlock on Langston. Langston tosses Ambrose down to the floor and Ambrose tweaks his knee. Langston goes out after him, but Ambrose counters and takes Langston down. Back in the ring, Ambrose stomps away on Langston. Ambrose tries to suplex Langston back into the ring, but slams him into ring post instead and Langston falls to the floor. Langston gets back into the ring, but Ambrose drops an elbow. Ambrose delivers a few right hands and then chokes Langston in the corner. Ambrose delivers a headbutt and slams Langston down to the mat. Ambrose goes for the cover, but Langston kicks out at two. Ambrose applies a headlock down on the mat, but Langston gets to his feet. Langston backs Ambrose into the corner, but Ambrose locks in the Sleeper Hold. Langston tosses Ambrose across the ring and then slams him down again. Langston goes for the cover, but Ambrose kicks out at two. Ambrose calls a belly-to-belly spot that was audible on the show and Langston connects with the belly-to-belly. Both men hit heads and Ambrose drops Langston with a DDT. Ambrose goes for the cover, but Langston kicks out at two. Langston spears Ambrose through the ropes and both men are down on the outside. Langston gets back into the ring, but Ambrose stays on the outside to get counted out.
Winner via count-out: Big E. Langston.
After the match, Langston drops Ambrose with the Big Ending.

Before the match, Paul Heyman, coming to the ring on a motorized blue cart, cuts a promo. Heyman says he is Satan in the WWE and Ryback is going to collect CM Punk’s soul. Heyman gets on top of the Cell structure and says he has risen to the top and he owns CM Punk.

Handicap Hell in a Cell Match: CM Punk vs. Paul Heyman and Ryback
Paul Heyman is on top of the Cell structure while Ryback and Punk battle inside it. Punk sends Ryback to the floor and slams him into the steel. Punk grabs a Kendo stick and hits Ryback with it, but Ryback grabs Punk and slams him into the Cell wall. Ryback grabs Punk and slams him face-first into the steel. Ryback grabs the Kendo stick and hits Punk with it. Ryback tosses Punk back into the ring and continues the beat down. Ryback slams Punk to the mat and goes for the cover, but Punk kicks out at two. Punk comes back and knocks Ryback to the outside of the ring. Punk goes to the top rope and launches off and clubs Ryback. Punk digs under the ring for more weapons, but Ryback stops him. Ryback chokes Punk with his boot and then slams Punk repeatedly into the Cell. Back in the ring, Ryback slams Punk to the mat and goes for the cover, but Punk kicks out at two. Ryback locks in a headlock, but Punk fights out. Ryback goes for Shell Shocked, but settles for a sit-out neck-breaker instead. Ryback goes for the cover, but Punk kicks out at two. Punk kicks Ryback’s knee out and connects with the running knee lift. Punk delivers the bulldog out of the corner. Punk tries to dive onto Ryback, but Ryback catches him. Punk sends Ryback into the corner and grabs the Kendo stick. Punk begins to smack Ryback with it. Punk drops Ryback with a clothesline and goes up top. Punk deliver the Macho Man Elbow Drop and goes for the cover, but Ryback kicks out at two. Punk beats down Ryback with the Kendo stick again and then goes to the floor to grab a table. Punk sets the table up in the ring. Ryback counters and slams Punk down onto the table, which was lying on its side. Ryback drops Punk with the Meat Hook Clothesline and goes for the cover, but Punk kicks out at two. Ryback finishes setting up the table in the center of the ring. Punk counters with a low-blow and Ryback falls onto the table. Punk delivers another elbow drop and sends Ryback through the table. Punk hits Ryback in the head with the Kendo stick and then hits the Go To Sleep. Punk rolls into the cover and gets the pin fall.
Winner: CM Punk.
After the match, Punk grabs another Kendo stick and leaves the Cell. He begins climbing and Heyman has nowhere to go. Heyman begs Punk off as he gets on top of the Cell. Punk grabs Heyman and destroys him with the Kendo stick. Punk grabs Heyman and delivers Go To Sleep.

We see the video package for WWE’s partnership with the Susan G. Komen Foundation for breast cancer research.

We go backstage and we see Renee Young and her guest is Daniel Bryan. Bryan says all he has ever wanted was a shot to be the WWE Champion, and he hopes that Shawn Michaels will be a fair and impartial referee. Bryan says he will reward the city that started the “YES” chants with a victory tonight.

Los Matadores (Diego and Fernando) (w/El Torito) vs. The Real Americans (Antonio Cesaro and Jack Swagger) (w/Zeb Colter)
Cesaro and Diego start the match and Cesaro takes him into the corner. Diego takes Cesaro down with a head-scissors, but Cesaro comes back and tosses Diego to the outside. Cesaro tags in Swagger, who beats down Diego on the outside. Swagger tosses Diego back into the ring and connects with the Swagger Bomb. Swagger goes for the cover, but Diego kicks out at two. Swagger delivers a series of knees to Diego and drops him with a clothesline. Swagger tags in Cesaro, who puts Diego in a headlock down on the mat. Diego comes back with a back elbow and then sends Swagger over the top rope. Cesaro stops Diego from making the tag and kicks Fernando off the apron. Cesaro grabs Diego and swings him THIRTY-ONE times! Cesaro goes for the cover, but Diego kicks out at two. Diego comes back and kicks Cesaro in the head. Swagger and Fernando tag in. Fernando takes Swagger down and goes for the cover, but Cesaro breaks it up. Fernando goes up top and dives off, but Swagger moves. Swagger grabs Fernando and locks in the Ankle Lock, but Fernando gets free. Fernando and Diego double-team Swagger and Diego gets the pin.
Winners: Los Matadores.
After the match, Zeb Colter gets into the ring, but El Torito takes him down and kicks him out of the ring, followed by Swagger.

We see John Cena’s return video and the hype package for his match with Alberto Del Rio.

World Heavyweight Championship Match: Alberto Del Rio (c) vs. John Cena
Del Rio works over Cena’s arm and Cena rolls to the outside to catch a breather. Cena gets back into the ring and takes Del Rio down and applies a headlock. Del Rio fights back and beats Cena down. Del Rio delivers a dropkick and then kicks Cena in the arm. Cena goes to the outside and Del Rio follows him. Cena rolls back into the ring, but Del Rio keeps control and works over Cena’s arm. Del Rio takes Cena down with a German suplex and applies a submission hold on Cena’s arm. Cena fights out and dropkicks Del Rio. Cena tries to build momentum, but Del Rio takes him down and stomps on his arm. Del Rio goes for the cover, but Cena kicks out at two. Del Rio works over Cena’s arm again while down on the mat. Cena fights back as we see Damien Sandow watching the match backstage. Del Rio places Cena on the middle rope and charges at him, but Cena moves and Del Rio crashes on the floor. Cena goes after Del Rio, but Del Rio turns the tide again and goes up top. Del Rio dives off, but Cena counters with a dropkick. Cena delivers the Five-Knuckle Shuffle and goes for the AA, but Del Rio counters with a Backstabber. Del Rio goes for the cover, but Cena kicks out at two. Cena comes back and drops Del Rio with a Tornado DDT and goes for the cover, but Del Rio kicks out at two. Cena goes to the second rope and dives, but Del Rio moves and Cena lands on the bad arm. Del Rio goes for the cover, but Cena kicks out at two. Del Rio keeps control and drops Cena to the mat again and goes for the cover, but Cena kicks out at two. Del Rio places Cena in the corner and charges, but Cena moves and Del Rio goes shoulder-first into the ring post. Cena connects with a cross-body and goes for the cover, but Del Rio kicks out at two. Cena picks Del Rio up, but Del Rio targets Cena’s bad arm again. Del Rio goes for the cross arm-breaker, but Cena rolls through and locks in the STF. Del Rio makes it to the bottom rope. Del Rio kicks Cena in the head and goes for the cover, but Cena kicks out at two. Del Rio locks in the cross arm-breaker and rolls down Cena’s protective elbow pad. Cena rolls through and power bombs Del Rio to break the hold. Del Rio goes for the cross arm-breaker, but Cena counters and hits the AA and gets the pin fall.
Winner and new World Heavyweight Champion: John Cena.

We go to the Superstar Panel and they talk about John Cena’s win. Dolph Ziggler says he wants the next shot and Kaitlyn says this is Brie Bella’s shot to prove AJ Lee wrong.

WWE Divas Championship Match: AJ Lee (w/Tamina Snuka) vs. Brie Bella (w/Nikki Bella)
AJ takes control of the match, but Brie sweeps AJ’s leg and takes her down. Brie goes for the cover, but AJ kicks out at one. AJ sends Brie to the outside and Brie hits the barricade. AJ goes out after Brie and tosses her back into the ring. AJ goes for the cover, but Brie kicks out at one. AJ locks in a headlock in the center of the ring and then slams her down hard. AJ skips around the ring and picks Brie up, but Brie fights back. AJ gets Brie in a front-face lock, but Brie backs her into the corner and AJ hits her head on the turnbuckle. Brie takes AJ down with a dropkick. Brie takes AJ down with a series of dropkicks now and goes for the cover, but AJ kicks out at two. AJ goes for the Black Widow, but Brie counters and locks in the Half Crab submisison. Nikki and Tamina fight on the outside as AJ makes it to the ropes. Brie charges at AJ, but AJ moves and Brie hits Nikki. AJ locks in the Black Widow and Brie taps out.
Winner and still WWE Divas Champion: AJ Lee.

We see The Prime Time Players playing WWE 2K14 backstage when Bob Backlund walks up. He yells that kids should be doing homework and other important things rather than playing video games. Titus says kids can become immortal if they play WWE 2K14. They do the ‘Millions of Dollars’ dance with Backlund to end the segment.

We see Triple H and Shawn Michaels talking backstage again.

We see the video hype package for the feud between Daniel Bryan and Randy Orton.

Hell in a Cell Match for the vacant WWE Championship (w/Shawn Michaels as the Special Guest Referee): Daniel Bryan vs. Randy Orton

Bryan and Orton slug it out to begin the match. Bryan runs off the ropes, but Orton catches him and delivers the power slam. Bryan comes back and delivers a series of kicks in the corner. Orton shoves Bryan away and delivers a dropkick. Orton goes for the cover, but Bryan kicks out at two. Orton drapes Bryan over the top rope a few times and then knocks Bryan off the apron and into the Cell wall. Orton goes after Bryan and slams him into the steel steps. Orton picks up the steps and hits Bryan with them. Orton picks up the other set and stands them up against the Cell wall. Orton shoves Bryan’s face against the Cell wall. Orton tries to slam Bryan into the steel steps, but Bryan counters and slams Orton into them. Bryan delivers a series of kicks to Orton. Bryan tosses Orton back into the ring and goes for the cover, but Orton kicks out at two. Bryan delivers a series of kicks to Orton’s chest and goes for the big kick to the head, but Orton ducks. Bryan takes Orton to the corner and hangs him upside down. Bryan kicks Orton in the chest and then backs away. Bryan delivers the dropkick and Orton falls to the mat. Bryan sends Orton to the outside and into the steel Cell. Bryan dives through the ropes and sends Orton into the Cell wall again. Bryan tries it again, but Orton moves out of the way and Bryan goes face-first into the Cell. Orton shoves Bryan into the ring post and then delivers the neck-breaker. Back in the ring, Orton goes for the cover, but Bryan kicks out at two. Orton sets Bryan up in the corner and delivers a series of right hands followed by a series of headbutts. Orton climbs the ropes, but Bryan fights back. Bryan power bombs Orton from the middle rope. Bryan and Orton exchange uppercuts and Bryan finally takes Orton down. Bryan dropkicks Orton in the corner twice and then delivers a series of kicks in the corner. Bryan takes Orton out of the corner with a hurricanrana. Bryan goes up top and delivers the diving headbutt. Bryan goes for the cover, but Orton kicks out at two. Bryan kicks Orton in the chest and goes for the big kick to the head, but Orton ducks and rolls Bryan up, but Bryan kicks out at two. Bryan comes back and grabs Orton and applies the Yes Lock. Bryan and Orton roll to the outside and Bryan slams Orton into the Cell wall repeatedly. Bryan backs away and charges at Orton and delivers a dropkick against the Cell wall. Bryan goes under the ring and grabs a steel chair. He smacks Orton with it a few times. Bryan goes under the ring and tosses numerous steel chairs into the ring. Bryan tosses Orton back into the ring, but Orton takes control and begins beating down Bryan with one of the chairs. Orton goes for the cover, but Bryan kicks out at two. Orton goes back to the chairs and hits Bryan a few more times and goes for the cover again, but Bryan kicks out at two again. Orton repeats the process and goes for the cover, but Bryan kicks out yet again. Orton piles all of the chairs in the middle of the ring and sets Bryan on the top rope. Bryan fights back and shoves Orton away, but Orton comes back and knocks Bryan down. Orton superplexes Bryan down and barely misses the stack of steel chairs. Orton goes for the cover, but Bryan kicks out at two. Orton covers Bryan again, but Triple H is arguing with Michaels and Orton starts yelling at Michaels. Orton grabs Bryan and delivers the middle-rope DDT. Triple H tells Michaels “this is it” and begins climbing and hanging onto the cell. Bryan shoves Orton into Michaels. Triple H orders the referee to unlock the Cell door and Bryan knocks Orton out with the knee to the head. Bryan takes Triple H out with the running knee, but Michaels knocks Bryan out with Sweet Chin Music. Michaels makes the count.
Winner and new WWE Champion: Randy Orton.

Hell in a Cell comes to a close with Randy Orton and Triple H standing tall in the ring as trainers and referees help Daniel Bryan to his feet on the outside.

    Now that Cena is back does it really matter what happened to Daniel Bryan?

    Since Cena’s world champ, I feel inclined to say yes. Storyline speaking, the WHC and WWE titles are usually kept apart. Unless WWE plans on unifying them, then Cena will be kept away from the WWE title picture while holding the belt. Worst case scenerio is that WHC takes priority over WWE title (which wouldn’t be *that* bad) and with HHH being a part of storylines involving that belt, I doubt that happens.
