Aries on TNA: “I think there’s almost a certain group of people who root for the company to go out of business”

xFinity / Comcast‏ posted an interview with Austin Aries. Here is an excerpt:

Holmes: TNA seems to be undergoing somewhat of a shift lately with some big names leaving the company and other rumored problems. As a performer is it hard to block that out?

Aries: A lot of reports about problems with the company are from journalists who are trying to get clicks on their website. It seems like there’s a certain core of pundits who like to take any news with TNA and make it negative. The fact is, the things going on in TNA, whether you’re talking about talents that are coming and going, that’s all part of a growing business.

Holmes: So everything is business as usual?

Aries: I think there’s almost a certain group of people who root for the company to go out of business just so they can say, “I told you so.” Unfortunately for those people, I think TNA is going to be here for a long time to come.

    He’s 100 percent right. All someone has to do is read some of the comments her to know that. There are a lot of shows on TV that I don’t like so I don’t watch them. I don’t wish for them to be cancelled. That’s plain selfish.

    Usually WWE superfans.

    Hell yeah!! Can’t wait for it to happen. TNA marks aren’t as cocky as they used to be haha.

    This is the difference between a wrestling fan and a wwe mark. If you’re a wrestling fan, you enjoy wrestling, in any company, However the small group of people who comment on any TNA news just to trash TNA, are WWE Marks. And they have no right to call themselves wrestling fans.

    idk wcw and ecw were pretty damn good for a while there and we hoped for the best but it didn’t pan out…some people just see the writing on the wall, now git on the Dixie Train y’all!!!

    @Mr. Anti-TNA

    Well, I wouldn’t say that WWE fans are as cocky as they used to be either. In fact, for all the people who say that WWE is the greatest promotion in the business, care to explain then why it is that soo many of WWE’s talents are in TNA, ROH, or have gone independent? The fact is, people like Mr. Anti-TNA have their heads shoved up VinnyMac’s ass. Wonder how they’ll feel within the new few decades when WWE gets put out of business by another company.
