KHALI MISSES OUT ON MOVIE DUE TO WWE CONTRACT

The Times of India newspaper is carrying a story about The Great Khali missing out on a role in a major movie due to his WWE contract. Apparently Sylvester Stallone wanted Khali to play a chief warden of a jail from where two inmates plan to escape in his upcoming movie Escape Plan which also features Arnold Schwarzenegger. “Sylvester Stallone recommended Khali for the role. They have interacted with each other on various occasions in the past and Stallone was keen to have him as a part of the film,” said one source. “However, the federation’s contract doesn’t allow Khali to sign up for any movies – at least not as of now.”

Not the first time, but it’s WWE and they make the rules of their contract. Khali should know that is part of the deal when he signed it. Albeit WWE isn’t always ogre-like on certain issues of their superstars signing up for non-WWE stuff, but we all know the flip side is some get caught up in it.
