Cena being sued by construction worker

And I Want Him to Pay Up

John Cena’s marriage-ending home remodel just got worse — ’cause a construction worker claims he was so badly injured on Cena’s watch … it left him unable to work.

The construction worker, Dale Ducharme, is suing the wrestler (but not John’s ex) … claiming he fell off a crappy scaffolding provided by the wrestler back in ’10 during the remodel of Cena’s Florida home.

Ducharme says the scaffolding was defective or damaged … and it was the ex-WWE champ’s responsibility to make sure the equipment was safe.

Ducharme wants more than $15k to cover the pain, disfigurement, loss of enjoyment of life, yada yada yada.

A rep for Cena had no comment.

Check out the clip below — it’s not an actual re-creation … but you get the idea.

  1. Scott II says:

At least he’s extorting… Err… suing for a low amount. There are many that would shoot for the moon

  2. Ian says:

Wait, what? Shouldnt the construction worker be the one checking if the scaffolding he is going to climb on is safe…isnt he doing the work? Who the hell allows the client to even set up and make sure your scaffolding is safe? This guy is an idiot.

  3. Parallax says:

EXACTLY. He should’ve known better. I mean it’s basic constructionomics.

  4. Fisha695 says:

Exactly and if not the construction worker himself then it is the responsibility of the foreman or whoever is his higher-up in the company he works for.

  5. Adam Senour says:

i’m thinking the company he works for would have been responsible. Either that or the manufacturer of the scaffold. If it’s defective, sue the manufacturer.

I don’t buy this story as presently constructed, pardon the pun.
