Raw opens with a short tribute video for Angelo Savoldi, a staple in the WWWF, who recently passed away at the age of 99.

We then transition into a video of Daniel Bryan winning the WWE Championship at Night of Champions, and the aftermath that ensued, including some of the boys in the back coming out to save Daniel Bryan from Randy Orton and The Shield.

We go live into the arena in Rosemont, Illinois, where the ten men who saved Daniel Bryan last week are standing on the stage. Triple H and Stephanie McMahon make their way to the ring. The Shield is on security duty at ringside. Triple H welcomes everyone to the show, and Stephanie says it is great to be in Chicago. Triple H says they brought them out on the stage to say one thing. Stephanie says ‘thank you’ for standing up for yourselves, for finally stepping up, and for finally being men. Triple H says it is clear that they weren’t doing it for Daniel Bryan. Rob Van Dam gets to the microphone set up on stage and says they were fighting for Bryan and for what is right because Bryan got screwed over. Triple H says he has never known of a WWE Superstar to fight for another WWE Superstar, and they normally fight for themselves. Stephanie says there is one reason why none of them have a title shot and Daniel Bryan does. Triple H says the reason is The Shield. Triple H says the Shield has been dominant since they came around. Triple H says he knows they ran out last week because of The Shield and not because they were saving Daniel Bryan. Triple H says the ten men will take on The Shield in an Elimination Handicap Match, but the ten men will have a partner: Daniel Bryan. Stephanie says the WWE Universe will get to pick Randy Orton’s opponent for tonight, and the choices are R-Truth, Dolph Ziggler, or Rob Van Dam.

We see that CM Punk will address Paul Heyman and Ryback later tonight as we head to a commercial break.

Match #1: Alberto Del Rio vs. Kofi Kingston
They tie up and Del Rio takes control, but only briefly. Del Rio sends Kingston into the corner, but Kingston counters with a head-scissors take-down that sends Del Rio to the outside. Kingston dives over the top rope and takes Del Rio down. Kingston tosses Del Rio back into the ring, and Del Rio goes to the corner. Kingston catches him and delivers a series of right hands. Kingston goes for the cover, but Del Rio kicks out. Del Rio comes back and kicks Kingston in the face. Del Rio follows it up with a kick to the back of Kingston’s head. Del Rio chokes Kingston over the bottom rope, but lets him go before the five count. Kingston comes back and sends Del Rio to the outside. Del Rio takes a breather by the timekeeper’s area as we head to a commercial.
We’re back and Del Rio is in control of the match. He kicks Kingston on the back and goes for a cover, but Kingston kicks out at two. Del Rio works over Kingston’s arm down on the mat, and then slams Kingston into the corner. Kingston kicks his way free, but Del Rio stays in control. Del Rio takes Kingston down and goes up top. Del Rio jumps off, but Kingston takes him down with a dropkick. Kingston drops Del Rio with a couple clotheslines and another dropkick. Del Rio comes back with a stiff kick to Kingston’s arm. Kingston drops Del Rio with S.O.S. and goes for the cover, but Del Rio kicks out at two. Kingston connects with the Boom Drop and sets up for Trouble in Paradise. Del Rio catches Kingston and delivers a German suplex. Del Rio goes for the cover, but Kingston kicks out at two. Del Rio steamrolls Kingston and goes for the back-breaker, but Kingston counters into a DDT. Kingston goes for the cover, but Del Rio kicks out at two. Kingston kicks Del Rio in the head and goes for a cross-body, but Del Rio moves and Kingston lands on his injured arm. Del Rio slams Kingston into the ring post and then kicks him in the arm. Del Rio locks in the cross arm-breaker and Kingston taps out.
Winner: Alberto Del Rio.

We are reminded that CM Punk will address Paul Heyman and Ryback later tonight as we head to a commercial break.

Renee Young is backstage with The Miz. We see the vicious attack on The Miz at the hands of Randy Orton last week. Triple H walks up before The Miz can say anything. Triple H says he is responsible for The Miz’s well-being, so he cannot let him anywhere near Randy Orton tonight. Triple H says The Miz will host an edition of Miz TV tonight and his special guest will be The Big Show.

We take a look back to the firing of Cody Rhodes, the match between Goldust and Randy Orton, and then the confrontation between Dusty Rhodes and Stephanie McMahon.

We are reminded of the 11-on-3 Handicap Match, which is tonight’s main event, and The Wyatt Family’s music hits. Bray Wyatt, Erick Rowan, and Luke Harper walk to the ring as we head to a commercial break.

Match #2: The Prime Time Players (Darren Young and Titus O’Neil) vs. The Wyatt Family (Erick Rowan and Luke Harper)
Young and Harper start the match up. Harper gains control over Young and quickly tags in Rowan. Rowan beats down Young in the corner and tags in Harper. Harper takes Young down with a shoulder block and goes for the cover, but Young kicks out at two. Harper tags in Rowan. Rowan takes Young to the corner and beats him down. Young tries to escape, but Rowan takes him down with a back-breaker. Rowan takes Young to the corner and tags in Harper. Harper stomps away on Young in the corner and then applies a face-lock down on the mat. Young fights out and hurries to tag in O’Neil. O’Neil knocks Rowan off the ropes and smashes Harper in the corner. O’Neil tosses Harper down and goes after Rowan. Young clotheslines Rowan over the top rope, but Harper drops O’Neil with a huge clothesline and gets the pin fall.
Winners: The Wyatt Family.
After the match, Bray Wyatt gets into the ring and delivers Sister Abigale’s Kiss to Young. Wyatt gets on his knees and screams “Follow the buzzards!”

We are reminded that we can vote for Randy Orton’s opponent for later tonight. The choices are Rob Van Dam, R-Truth, and Dolph Ziggler.

We are reminded again that CM Punk will address Paul Heyman and Ryback later tonight.

We see The Big Show walking backstage. He will be a guest on Miz TV after the commercial break.

We’re back and it’s time for Miz TV. The MIz says it is a lot harder to keep him down once he is knocked down. He says revenge will come Randy Orton’s way and it will be awesome. The Mix brings out his guest, The Big Show. The Miz says Triple H and Stephanie McMahon are trying to break him, because if they break him they can break anybody. The Miz says the WWE Superstars are starting to step up and it’s time for Show to stand up. The Miz calls Stephanie a ‘witch’, which brings her to the ring. Stephanie accuses The Miz of slander and then berates him. She says The Miz peaked too early, and is now nothing but the spokesperson for the WWE. Stephanie says The Miz failed his family and friends last week. Stephanie tells The Big Show to knock out The Miz, and he does it without hesitation.

We are reminded that CM Punk will address Paul Heyman and Ryback later tonight. We also find out that Randy Orton’s opponent will be revealed after the commercial break.

Match #3: Randy Orton vs. Rob Van Dam (w/Ricardo Rodriguez)
Orton kicks Van Dam in the midsection and then tosses him into the corner. Orton delivers a headbutt and sends Van Dam down to the mat. Van Dam goes over the top of Orton and goes for the spin kick, but Orton ducks to the outside. Van Dam takes Orton down with the spin kick and then delivers a series of kicks to Orton in the corner. Van Dam drives his shoulder into Orton and then delivers another spin kick. Orton rolls to the outside again, but Van Dam takes him down with a baseball slide dropkick. Van Dam goes to the apron, but Orton takes his knee out as we head to a commercial.
We’re back and Van Dam drops Orton with a kick and then a few clotheslines. Van Dam connects with Rolling Thunder and goes for the cover, but Orton kicks out at two. Van Dam kicks Orton and goes for the split-leg moonsault, but Orton moves out of the way. Orton delivers the middle-rope DDT to Van Dam and sets up for the RKO. Van Dam counters with a kick and rolls Orton up for a two count. Van Dam goes for the monkey flip, but connects with a kick instead. Van Dam goes up top and goes for the Five-Star Frog Splash, but Orton gets to his feet. Van Dam flips down onto Orton and goes back up top. Van Dam goes for the Five-Star, but Orton knocks him down. Orton punts Van Dam in the head and sends him to the floor. Orton slams Van Dam into the announce able and then into the barricade. Orton breaks apart the barricade as the referee calls for the bell.
Match Result: Double Count-out.
After the match, Orton slams Van Dam onto the exposed steel barricade and then into the steel steps. Orton slams Van Dam into the steel steps again and then tosses him over the announce table. Orton dismantles the announce table and tosses Van Dam back into the ring. Orton sets Van Dam on the top rope and delivers a top-rope DDT.

We are reminded that the 11-on-3 Handicap Match will be tonight’s main event as we head to a commercial break.

We see a vignette for Los Matadores They will be live on Raw next Monday night.

We see The Bella Twins backstage. Randy Orton walks up and asks if they saw what he did out there. Brie said she was too busy not caring. Orton said she needs to care, because he will do much worse to her boyfriend, Daniel Bryan, at Battleground. She says Bryan is a real champion and more of a man than Orton will ever be. Orton says he is and will always be the face of the WWE and more of a man than Bryan will ever be.

We see Stephanie McMahon backstage when AJ Lee walks up. AJ says it’s ridiculous that she is in a tag team match against the Total Divas, especially since her own tag team partners hate her. Stephanie says she will compete or she won’t be Divas Champion much longer.

Match #4: Fandango (w/Summer Rae) vs. Santino Marella
Fandango controls the early part of the match. Fandango applies a submission down on the mat and Marella tries to fight out. Fandango drops Marella with a clothesline and goes for the cover, but Marella kicks out at two. Fandango applies an abdominal stretch and then slams Marella to the mat. Fandango comes off the ropes, but Marella takes him down with a hip-toss. Marella goes for The Cobra, but Summer Rae distracts him. Fandango suplexes Marella down to the mat and goes up top. Marella tries to get him down, but Fandango punches him back down. Fandango connects with the top rope leg-drop and gets the pin fall.
Winner: Fandango.

We are reminded again of the 11-on-3 Handicap Match scheduled for later tonight. We also see that CM Punk will address Paul Heyman and Ryback after the commercial break.

We’re back and “Cult of Personality” hits and CM Punk makes his way to the ring. Punk says the crowd has completely ruined his bad mood. He says he hasn’t smiled in a week and he couldn’t help it tonight. He says he tried to get the Stanley Cup here tonight, but it is in Montreal being engraved because they are, in fact, the Champions of the World. Punk says he let everyone down last Sunday in Detroit. Punk says the Almanac will say that he lost to Paul Heyman. Punk says he has been thinking that he can’t do this anymore and that he doesn’t deserve to perform in from of the greatest wrestling crowd in the world. Punk says he thinks back to when the Chicago Blackhawks were down three games to one to the Detroit Red Wings. He says the Blackhawks didn’t tuck their tails and run, but they charged back and won it all, and that is the Chicago way. Punk says he is here to fight and he doesn’t care if it’s Curtis Axel or Ryback or… Paul Heyman interrupts. Punk says Heyman showed up right on time and he has 18,000 people that will bail him out of jail after he gets his hands on Heyman. Heyman says he doesn’t need a reminder of the beating he took in Detroit and has been in physical therapy since Night of Champions and is now confined to a wheelchair for the time being. Heyman says he can take solace in the fact that he can walk through life and say that he beat CM Punk. Heyman says it’s geography. Heyman says he is from Chicago; the second city. Second rate people, second-rate sports teams, and the second-best in the world. Heyman shows a still-shot of him pinning Punk at Night of Champions. Punk says when he jumps out of the ring and make a move, can Heyman’s two goons get to him before he gets to Heyman. He says he needs two seconds to rip Heyman’s face off. Heyman says not only can he beat Punk, but he beat him with both hands tied behind his back. Heyman tries to get his wheelchair to back up, but it won’t move. Punk drops the mic and charges, but Ryback and Axel cut him off. Ryback holds Punk as Axel decks him with a right hand. Punk fights back and knocks Ryback off the stage, but Axel takes control. Punk reverses and throws Axel into the lighting on the stage and launches himself on Ryback. Punk beats down Ryback and tosses him into the lighting as well. Punk kicks Axel in the head, but Ryback takes Punk down with a clothesline. Ryback tosses Punk into the lighting and then slams him onto a crate. Ryback power slams Punk through a table and stares down at him. Heyman gets to his feet and walks over to Punk. Heyman hands Ryback the microphone and Ryback says, “This is what happens to bullies.” Ryback and Heyman laugh and rejoin Axel by the stage as we head to a commercial.

We’re back and we see referees and trainers still checking on CM Punk and we take a look back at the attack from Ryback and Curtis Axel.

Match #5: Ten-Diva Tag Team Match – Natalya, The Bella Twins (Brie and Nikki), and The Funkadactyls (Cameron and Naomi) vs. AJ Lee, Aksana, Alicia Fox, Layla, and Tamina Snuka
Natalya and Alicia start the match. Natalya goes for a Sharpshooter, but Alicia backs her into the corner. Alicia stomps away on Natalya and then kicker her in the face. Alicia gets Natalya in a headlock, but Natalya gets free and tags in Brie. Alicia tags in AJ, and Brie plants her with a face-buster and gets the pin fall.
Winners: The Bella Twins, Natalya, and The Funkadactyls

We go backstage and we see The Shield. Dean Ambrose asks if they were thrown to the wolves or if they are the hounds that hunt down the wolves. Ambrose says the match tonight is what is best for business. He says their backs are up against the wall. Rollins says they revolutionize every time their backs are to the wall. Ambrose says they always win. Reigns tells everyone to believe in The Shield as we go to a commercial.

Daniel Bryan’s music hits and he comes to the ring. He says he was stripped of the WWE Championship last week because he was accused of conspiring with referee Scott Armstrong. Bryan says he doesn’t care which Randy Orton shows up at Battleground, because he will destroy Orton and walk out of Buffalo with the WWE Championship. Bryan says Orton will be haunted by one word for the rest of his life after Bryan leaves Battleground with the WWE Championship: “YES!” He leads the crowd in the chant before The Shield’s music hits.

Cody Rhodes and Goldust attack The Shield before they can enter the ring.

Dolph Ziggler will challenge Dean Ambrose for the United States Championship this Friday on Smackdown.

Match #6: 11-on-3 Handicap Elimination Match – Daniel Bryan, Dolph Ziggler, Justin Gabriel, Kofi Kingston, Rob Van Dam, R-Truth, The Prime Time Players (Darren Young and Titus O’Neil), The Usos (Jey and Jimmy), and Zack Ryder vs. The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, and Seth Rollins)
Jimmy Uso and Rollins start the match. Jimmy kicks Rollins and then tags in Ziggler. Ziggler headbutts Rollins and tosses him into the corner. Rollins backs Ziggler in his corner and tags in Ambrose. Ambrose slams Ziggler’s head into the corner and then delivers a chop. Ambrose tosses Ziggler into his corner and tags in Reigns. Reigns delivers an elbow shot to Ziggler. Reigns tags in Rollins. Ziggler tries to get away, but Rollins stops him. Rollins tags in Ambrose, who stomps on Ziggler’s hand. Ziggler comes back and takes Ambrose down with a dropkick. Ziggler tags in Van Dam. Van Dam drops Ambrose with a few right hands. Van Dam kicks Ambrose in the head and drives his shoulder into his midsection. Van Dam charges at Ambrose, but Ambrose moves and plants Van Dam with a DDT. Ambrose pins Van Dam, and Van Dam is eliminated as we head to a commercial.
We’re back and Kingston and Rollins are in the ring. Rollins delivers a back-breaker to Kingston and tags in Ambrose. Ambrose wraps Kingston’s injured arm around the top rope. Ambrose works over Kingston’s arm down on the mat and then takes him to the corner. Kingston comes back with a cross-body and goes for the cover, but Ambrose kicks out at two. Kingston tries to get to his corner, but Ambrose stops him and plants him to the mat and goes for the cover, and Kingston is eliminated. O’Neil gets into the ring and tosses Ambrose across it. Ambrose comes back with an elbow and tags in Reigns. Reigns and O’Neil tie up and Reigns backs him into the corner. Reigns and Rollins double-team O’Neil and exchange tags. O’Neil fights out of the corner and knocks Ambrose and Rollins off the apron, but Reigns takes O’Neil down with a Spear and gets the pin and O’Neil has been eliminated. Justin Gabriel gets into the ring, but Reigns takes him down with a Spear and Gabriel has been eliminated. Zack Ryder gets into the ring and takes Reigns down with a dropkick. Ryder goes for the Broski Boot, but Reigns takes him down with a Spear and Ryder is eliminated. Daniel Bryan gets into the ring and takes Reigns down and delivers a double dropkick to Ambrose and Rollins. Bryan smashes Reigns in the corner and tags in Jey Uso. Jey splashes Reigns from the top rope and Reigns has been eliminated as we head to a commercial.

Update: We’re down to Bryan, Ziggler, Truth, The Usos, and Young vs. Ambrose and Rollins.

We’re back and Young and Rollins are in the ring. Rollins slams Young into the turnbuckle and tags in Ambrose. Ambrose delivers a dropkick to Young and delivers a series of left hands in the corner. Ambrose takes Young to the corner and tags in Rollins. Rollins kicks Young on the back and applies a chin-lock on the mat. Ambrose tags back in and drives his shoulder into Young’s midsection. Ambrose gets Young in a Sleeper Hold. Young gets free and delivers a Northern Lights suplex to Ambrose and goes for the cover, but Ambrose kicks out. Rollins makes a blind tag and knees Young in the head. Rollins pins Young and Young is eliminated. Dolph Ziggler comes into the match and stomps away on Rollins in the corner. The referee pulls him away, but he charges back and Rollins dropkicks him into the turnbuckle. Rollins tags in Ambrose, who tosses Ziggler into the corner. Ziggler takes Ambrose down with the Zigzag and gets the pin. Ambrose is eliminated. Rollins is all alone. Rollins stomps away on Ziggler and then slams him to the mat. Rollins goes for the cover, but Ziggler kicks out at two. Rollins slams Ziggler down again and then applies a chin-lock. Ziggler counters with a DDT. Ziggler tags in R-Truth, who drops Rollins with come clotheslines and then a face-buster. Truth goes for the cover, but Rollins kicks out at two. Rollins kicks Truth in the face and stomps his head into the mat and gets the pin. Truth is eliminated. The Usos, Bryan, and Ziggler surround the ring and they begin beating down Rollins. Ambrose tries to make the save, but Ziggler clotheslines him over the top rope. The Usos double-dive onto Reigns and we are left with Rollins and Bryan in the ring. Rollins takes control and goes for a superplex, but Bryan fights out. Bryan delivers the diving headbutt and he sets up for the running knee. He connects and gets the pin fall, as Rollins is eliminated.
Winners: Daniel Bryan, Dolph Ziggler, Justin Gabriel, Kofi Kingston, Rob Van Dam, R-Truth, The Prime Time Players, The Usos, and Zack Ryder.
After the match, Bryan leads the crowd in a “YES!” chant as Raw comes to a close.
