Wrestling By The Numbers: Theodore ‘Ted’ DiBiase Jr.

World Wrestling Entertainment has parted ways with former 2-Time WWE Tag-Team Champion and 1-Time WWE Million Dollar Champion Theodore ‘Ted’ DiBiase Jr.. The 30-year-old Baton Rouge Louisiana native announced on August 26th that he was not renewing his WWE contract which expired on Sunday. DiBiase Jr. explained his actions by saying he was wanting to spend more time with his family and had accepted an executive position with college textbook e-commerce website CollegeGarageSale.com. Over his 6-year WWE career which began after signing a developmental contract in July of 2007, he achieved his greatest success while being apart of the faction Legacy with Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes. From 2010-2011 he also brought back his father’s ‘Million Dollar Man’ persona and was managed by both Maryse and the returning Virgil. DiBiase Jr. battled wrist, heel and shoulder injuries over the past couple years and hadn’t been used as a prominent performer with the organization.

Ted DiBiase Jr. made his professional wrestling debut 7-years ago in 2006 after having been originally trained by Chris Youngblood in Amarillo Texas. DiBiase Jr. then continued his training at Harley Race’s Wrestling Academy and competed in World League Wrestling in a tag-team with his real life older brother Mike DiBiase. While competing in WLW he would also compete in tours of Japan for Pro Wrestling NOAH. The 4th generation wrestler was a standout college football and soccer player prior to joining the WWE and while with the organization also starred in the company produced movie The Marine II back in 2009.
