According to Dave Meltzer, there is tremendous heat on Sin Cara, for essentially quitting less than a minute into his match with Albert Del Rio on the 8/19 Raw show in Anaheim, CA.

Being reduced to a voiceless jobber (not to mention acting like he doesn’t know English in the Damien Sandow segment) will do that. My guess is that he’s trying to send a message to the higher-ups, and they sure got it.

  2. ~J* says:

He had to quit…he needs to be at 100% to botch properly.

  3. Scott II says:

Steven, if he is “sending a message”, then I’m sure he will be wished the best of luck in his future endeavors in the not too distant future

So, his style requires the use of his hands a lot of the time to get up top, jump and latch onto Del Rio, all safely.. they give him heat for basically ensuring he didn’t injure anything else. Which he would have, he botches a lot and never seems to be able to go a month without being injured but is it reason to give him heat for quitting the match? No.

Cut your damn losses, quit whining about a known problem and hope Los Matador’s gets over and fast.

Fire him already. They hired him by mistake thinking they were getting the original mystico (?) But they didnt they hired the second guy to play that character. Then they did hire the original, hunico and still stick with sin cara!! Waste of money all round

  7. IWC Writer says:

He could’ve rolled in, let Del Rio or the ref know he was injured, then got put in the Cross Arm Breaker. Done. Triple H got put in the Walls of Jericho with a torn quad, he could do that.

  8. dave says:

I’m not disputing that and maybe I went a bit far with what he could do but heat for it? He’s going to be off TV for a while, he’ll come back and he’ll get injured again. Why he’s still employed is beyond me. His medical bills must be getting ridiculous.

  9. James says:

I’d say get rid of Sin Cara. Either that or demote him to NXT.

  10. Boogeyman says:

Sin Cara is just an epic fail all around.

  11. Matt says:

Dude he worked the Smackdown! dark match the next night. He’s not out for months.

  12. Steven Jackson says:

Probably the WWE’s worst decision was to sign Mistico/Sin Cara. Konnan said it best in his RF Video shoot “He needed more training”. I feel sorry for the guy personally. If he had been able to face cruiserweight wrestlers like Mysterio did in 1996 in WCW, he may have stood a chance at making it. Yet instead he has been thrown in at the deep end and he hasn’t stood a chance. Such a shame too as he was such a huge draw in Mexico, but now he is nothing more than an amusing internet meme. Set him free and let him return to Mexico where he is happy. Plus WWE have signed Samuray Del Sol who I think is a much better fit for the company anyway. That’s what I think.
