CLAIM: TNA DIDN’T PAY MEDICALS BILLS, MOM FORCED INTO BANKRUPTCY

TNA didn’t pay Jesse Sorensen’s medical bills for his neck injury, and his mother was left with the bills and was forced to declare bankruptcy, this according to Sorensen himself in an interview with Highspots.com

Sorensen in the interview said TNA wouldn’t pay any of his medical bills and at first his mother’s insurance paid for them, but she eventually went bankrupt having to pay the extra, the premiums and other costs associated with his treatment.

    damn that sux

  2. RJ Ace says:

If this is true, TNA and Dixie Carter should be ashamed of themselves. This is exactly why there needs to be a union of some kind in pro wrestling. I undersatnd that it would be a complicated thing to accomplish, but stuff like this should not be happening. There is no excuse for a national wrestling promotion to not pay the medical bills of a wrestler that gets injured on the job. It’s a joke…

  3. Will Henderson says:

he should sue TNA if they didn’t pay up for his neck injury. if this is true, he has a legal case, all he needs is to contact a lawyer.

  4. raven12516 says:

While TNA isn’t *required* to pay medical expenses, (based on my assumption that wrestlers are independent contractors) this is probably gonna come back to haunt them.

  5. Jamie says:

There is a huge moral argument to be made, but from a legal standpoint (like raven, assuming wrestlers are still independent contractors) then TNA has done nothing wrong

  6. Mighty says:

Too busy paying for Kurt’s rehab. And @Jamie, sometimes it doesn’t have to be illegal to still do the right thing.

  7. Evan says:

they shouldn’t have hired this guy in the first place.

  8. ~J* says:

You mean Dixie isn’t as loving and caring and honest as she pretends to be??????

    SAY IT AINT SO BROTHER!!!!!

  9. Jamie says:

@Mighty – I completely agree, I was merely arguing against the people who were saying TNA *have* to pay up

  10. MC Live says:

That’s down right dispicible. Dude broke his neck performing for your company and you can’t pay for him. That’s disgraceful.

  11. Scott II says:

And this is exactly the reason why people look down upon TNA as a second rate company, if that

  12. Legend_Killer says:

TNA it’s almost in bankruptcy, they would use that as an excuse.

  13. Deity of Insanity says:

I’m not surprised to hear this though I believe it’s messed up regardless. Coming from the company with horrible money keeping skills though how can anyone be shocked. And as for the “independent contractor” talk it really depends on what their personal contract states.

  14. Workers' comp claim says:

If a carnival worker breaks his neck on the job, does the carnival pay for his surgery? #TNAisBootlegazfuk

  15. Adurka Durk says:

So he took that charity money to enter a stupid body building competition instead of giving it to his mother?

It’s hard to feel sorry for this guy.
