SummerSlam Coverage: Ring of Fire Match

Ring of Fire Match: Bray Wyatt (w/Erick Rowan and Luke Harper) vs. Kane
I apologize, folks. There was a power surge in my apartment complex and I missed the first few minutes of this match. I catch up and I see the flames rise every time Rowan and Harper get close to the ring. Kane delivers a choke slam to Wyatt. Harper and Rowan place a tarp over the flames and get into the ring and begin beating down Kane. Rowan splashes Kane in the middle of the ring as Wyatt is down in the corner. They hand Kane to Wyatt. He kisses Kane on the forehead and delivers his finisher. Wyatt gets the pin fall on Kane.
Winner: Bray Wyatt.
After the match, The Wyatt Family stands tall over Kane. Rowan and Harper place Kane on the steel steps and then smash his head in between the top and bottom steps as Wyatt looks on. Rowan and Harper pick Kane up and drag him away while following Wyatt to the back.

Again, my apologies for missing the first few minutes of this match. As I said, there was a power surge in my apartment complex, and I was without power from the time the Wyatts made their entrance until right before Kane chokeslammed Wyatt.

We see a video package for WWE 2K14, which will be released in October.

We go to the Superstar Panel, and Josh Mathews reintroduces Booker T, Shawn Michaels, and Vickie Guerrero. Booker says what just went down was disturbing. Michaels said is was scary and Vickie says that’s not how she runs Smackdown. Mathews tosses it back down to Cole, JBL, and Lawler.

We go back to the Kickoff Show and revisit Paul Heyman’s interview where he announced that Brock Lesnar vs. CM Punk will no be a No Disqualification Match.

Let’s see if Dolphins1925 is right again, or if he’s finally forced Vince to change on the fly. Either way, I’m loving this. Now if we can just get him to predict Cena wins so VKM changes his mind…

lmao at the firefighters at ringside putting out the kendo stick and the crowd cheering it!

Horrible match. A case of a brilliant character being put in a difficult setting, so I’m not sure whether to blame the fire for the sloppy and clunky wrestling or not. The after-match made up for it, though

Anyone else notice that the crowd thought Taker was coming out for a second when the lights went out?

  4. Scott II says:

Rusty, if the one site I am reading is correct, the streak is over, since he picked Kane, not Bray Wyatt

  5. Adurka Durk says:

The line between them creating a genuinely good character who actually seemed creepy, and side show circus that is all things WWE was almost obliterated tonight.

Kane just cannot make others look good. RVD has consistently awesome matches with Big Show, yet RVD’s matches with Kane suck.

Kane about derailed this entire Wyatt storyline with that awful match, if it wasn’t SAVED by the ending after the match.

Looking forward to Kane becoming a follower. They really did a good job with the scene afterwards.

Notice how dolphin posted everything opposite of how it has gone?

  7. Rusty Shackleford says:

Check reddit or twitter @dolphinsreddit whoever leaked earlier was a fake. He’s been right with every prediction he’s made so far.

  8. Scott II says:

Just saw that one now too Rusty. Yeah, probably was a fake.

Only reason I really cared to look was because I am not watching the PPV tonight (no means to, at least “legally”), so I figured to go look, but if I was watching, I wouldn’t have even thought of looking at dolphin1925’s picks (It’d be like reading the end of a book to see what happens, then reading the entire book)

  9. Rusty Shackleford says:

Swerve: Vince is actually Dolphins and is just trying to make us think DB has a shot at winning.
