Memphis Wrestling Promoter Passes Away

Corey Maclin, a promoter for Memphis Wrestling, has passed away as the result of a one-car rollover wreck late Tuesday night.

“Wrestling News Center first reported this story around 1:00 this morning. The Highway Patrol has confirmed that is was Corey Maclin who was killed in the one car roll over crash in Panola County that happened around 11 PM Tuesday night. Corey Maclin was a big part of Memphis Wrestling and also a former local sports anchor in the Memphis area. I was told this morning that Corey was working on bringing another wrestling show to TV in the Memphis area. Our thoughts and Prayers go out to his friends and family.”

    I remember when he used to do the upcoming shows on the old Memphis program. RIP Corey

    Very sad news about Corey Maclin such a shame and its a sad day for Memphis wrestling and the whole Sports Entertainment community as a whole you never like to hear about anyone dying and i hope that his family pulls through this difficult time. RIP Corey.

    I remember watching Memphis Wrestling on The Wrestling Channell here in the UK and seeing and hearing Corey Maclin on commentary. It is a shame that he was never hired by the WWE.

    Sad to hear that he has died! :(
