TNA Wrestling has announced the release of current marketing and production assistant and former wrestler Jessy ‘Jesse’ Sorensen. The 24-year-old Katy Texas native had spent the past 2-years with TNA after having been signed in July of 2011 to compete in the company’s popular X Division. Sorensen went on to have feuds with the likes of Kid Kash and Zema Ion and even challenged then champion Austin Aries for the TNA X Division Championship. Sorensen’s in-ring career came to an end at the 2012 TNA Against All Odds pay-per-view after being severely injured in a match against Zema Ion. He suffered a C-1 vertebrae fracture with spinal cord edema after accidentally taking Ion’s knee’s directly to his neck while trying to catch him during a dive. It was feared at one point that Sorensen might end up a quadriplegic but after a long 9-month rehabilitation he was cleared to return to the ring by doctors this past November. In May after being asked about his comeback to the ring he responded that he had decided to retire.

Jessy Sorensen had a 5-year career inside the squared circle after debuting in 2008 after having been trained by Brian Knobbs, Bully Ray & Devon. Sorensen spent the early stages of his career competing for various independent organizations throughout the state of Texas. Under the name Ryan Sorensen he was a regular with Florida Underground Wrestling from 2011-2012 where he was a former 1-Time FUW Flash Champion and 1-Time FUW Tag-Team Champion.

Below we look at the televised professional wrestling career of Jessy ‘Jesse’ Sorensen by the numbers…
