Match scrapped from last night’s Raw

Wade Barrett was booked to face Daniel Bryan on last night’s Monday Night Raw. The CM Punk, Brock Lesnar, and Paul Heyman segment went long, thus the WWE brass decided not to rush a Bryan vs. Barrett match, and gave more time to Rob Van Dam vs. Chris Jericho, which was originally scheduled to be a fourteen minute match. Jericho and RVD ended up going twenty one and half minutes.

Although I enjoyed the Punk/Heyman/Lesnar promo, the crowd was super HOT for D Bryan, so it probably wouldn’t have hurt.

It did seem odd Daniel wasn’t out there earlier, but it did make the reveal of him coming out behind everyone seem more rewarding.

However honestly i’d take a rushed Bryan vs Barrett match over drawn out Punk/Brock build up. Brock’s big strong attacks just make me laugh more. I know wrestling isn’t that serious but it’s hard not to laugh at how goofy Brock looks when he attacks someone. I really dislike how they try to sell him as big strong real fighter when he looks more like a Street Fighter character some nights.
