Biography

- He applied and was accepted to All Japan Pro Wrestling’s dojo on June 20, 1987.
- On April 9, 1990, Kobashi and Tiger Mask II (Misawa) defeated Doug Furnas and Dan Kroffat in Nagoya, Japan to win All Japan’s All Asia tag team titles.
- Kobashi and Johnny Ace defeated Defeated Bobby Fulton and Tommy Rogers on September 7, 1990 in Fukui, Japan to capture AJPW’s All Asia tag team titles.
- Kobashi and Ace defeated Doug Furnas and Dan Kroffat on July 8, 1991 in Osaka, Japan to regain the All Asia tag team titles.
- On May 25, 1992, Kobashi and Tsuyoshi Kikuchi defeated Doug Furnas and Dan Kroffat in Sendai, Japan for Kobashi’s fourth All Asia tag team title reign.
- On December 3, 1993, Kobashi & Mitsuharu Misawa won the vacate All Japan Unified World Tag Team titles by winning the Won the World’s Strongest Tag Determination League.
- On December 10, 1994, Kenta Kobashi & Mitsuharu Misawa regained the AJPW Unified tag team titles by again winning the World’s Strongest Tag Determination League.
- Kobashi defeated Akira Taue on July 24, 1996 to capture his first Triple Crown in Tokyo, Japan.
- Kobashi and Johnny Ace defeated The Holy Demon Army in Sapporo, Japan to capture the AJPW Unified tag team titles on May 27, 1997 in Sapporo, Japan.
- On October 4, 1997, Kobashi and Ace defeated Gary Albright and Steve Williams to regain the AJPW Unified tag team titles in Tokyo.
- On June 12, 1998 Kobashi defeated Kawada in Tokyo to begin his second Triple Crown reign.
- Kobashi and Jun Akiyama captured the AJPW Unified tag team titles on January 7, 1999 in Hidaka, Japan.
- On October 23, 1999, Kobashi and Akiyama defeated Mitsuharu Misawa and Yoshinari Ogawa to regain the Unified tag team titles.
- Kobashi won the 2000 Champion Carnival tournament.
- On March 1, 2003 Kobashi defeated his rival Mitsuharu Misawa in a match for the GHC Heavyweight Championship.
- On June 6, 2003, Kobashi and Tamon Honda defeated Jun Akiyama and Akitoshi Saito in Tokyo for the GHC Tag Team titles.
- Kobashi and Honda defeated Takeshi Morishima and Mohammed Yone defeated Takeshi Morishima and Mohammed Yone in Sapporo to capture the GHC Tag Team titles.
- Kobashi won the GHC Openweight Hardcore Championship from Makoto Hashi on June 8, 2009 in Hachiōji, Japan during Noah’s Southern Navigation tour.
- On July 15, 2013, Kobashi was inducted into the GERWECK.NET Hall of Fame.
