Conflicting reports on The Shield’s immediate future

There have been many rumblings that The Shield may have lessen roles in the coming weeks. According to Dave Meltzer, he has heard from sources that the group will be de-pushed, while others in the organization deny it. Apparently, there is heat on members of the group, especially on Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns.

So let me get this straight everyone was happy about the idea but now they’re getting too hot and its an issue smh

  2. Fisha695 says:

“OMG 2 weren’t on the main PPV & the 1 that was lost, they must have heat” is how I imagine Dave Meltzer created this story.

The only thing that’s changing about their future is that they’re at the starting point of an offical face turn at which point they’ll feud with the Wyatt Family.

@Fisha695-They’re natural heels, turning them face is basically the same thing as de-pushing them.

  4. mackdeezy says:

Why do people still believe a heel turn is a push? Look at brodus, hes been a face and yet he gets more TV time than Cody Rhodes. Sure he loses a match here and there but sometimes a solid push isnt always believable. Sometimes a push means you have to lose.

  5. Guled says:

nawww they’re too good being buried. just treat them like they’re the s#!t for the Wyatt family.

  6. art123guy says:

@mackdeezy-Brodus wasn’t established as a heel in the way the The Shield have been. The Shield are over now as heels, keep them that way until it’s really needed.

And it doesn’t apply to just heel to face turns. Ryback was over as a face, now he’s floundering and needs to re-establish himself as a heel, basically starting all over. (Though that can be also be due to the lousy way he was booked as a face.)

  7. Bob says:

The problem with the The Shield is there is nobody for them to really feud with. The tag team division has no notable face tag teams and Ambrose is a mid-card champion and the mid-card sucks. There are also no face trio groups. They will probably break up by the end of the year. If they turn as a group face, I’d like to see Reigns/Rollins become faces and Ambrose remain a heel.

  8. Asterik says:

Backstage politics at its best folks, one person say that they’re being pushed too hard and this is what happens…

  9. Later Marks says:

Pretty much everyone has heat on them, not really a big deal. Rollins has heat on him before he even got called up, AJ has super heat on her as we speak and they gave her the divas title, Sami Zayn got heat after two weeks. They don’t even care if they get put in the so called doghouse cause they still get paid, even if they get sent home like Rosa they’re still getting paid, like I said not really a big deal.

You can’t stop the Hounds of Justice!

WWE needs a story to explain why a team breaks up. Anything bad that happens to The Shield would have to be built up until a PPV (like Summerslam).
