CrossFace: The Chris Benoit Story

Liev Schreiber is set to lace up the boots as Chris Benoit (perhaps the most shocking wrestler of all time); from his training with the Hart family, through his career, to the double murder-suicide. There was no thorough investigation to prove 100% that Benoit did indeed commit the crimes that shocked the world.

SRG plans to go inside the mind of this very controversial individual, with the start of his supposed drug abuse after the death of his long time friend Eddie Guerrero. The also wish to present how he forever changed the landscape of the World Wrestling Entertainment. Head writer Sarah Coulter says that they plan to have a lot of WWE superstars from ‘Triple H’ to the chairman ‘Vince McMahon’ himself in the film. This probably has the potential to be one of the greatest sports biopics of all time, showing the very real dangers of steroid abuse.

Honestly i dont like the idea off hhh or vinny mac being anywhere near or around this film. It seems like they would just speak from a business point of view not a concerned view.

  2. Xtremefalls43 says:

TMZ is reporting that this story wasn’t true and Liev Schreiber isn’t doing this

  3. Joan B. in S. C. says:

Why do they think anyone involved with the WWE would want to be/allowed to be in this film? Other than some DVD sightings, Chris Benoit is still considered the person we will never speak of again.

  4. James says:

If it does happen, it’ll be straight to DVD or Netflix. Other than that, I don’t think it’ll ever happen.

  5. StunningSteve says:

Absolutely bogus story. The film is in development but Schreiber’s people deny his involvement. More importantly, I don’t buy for a second that anyone from the WWE will be anywhere near this film. They have tried too hard to distance themselves and never even talk about Benoit or what happened. If they were going to do something they would do it within WWE and their own studio. I am sure there are no plans for that though.

  6. MC Live says:

This doesn’t need to be made into a movie. It would be really weird to see actors playing the wrestlers we know. And besides, in order to accurately portray his story, they would need access to WWE trademarks and copyrights, which I don’t see happening. I hope this movie doesn’t happen.
