WWE News and Notes

– Besides a 50th anniversary of WWE DVD coming out later this year, the company is also going to release a 50th anniversary book.

– Speaking of WWE DVDs, new matches have been confirmed for WWE’s Madison Square Garden DVD set due out on 8/27:

* WWE Title Match, Superstar Billy Graham vs. Bruno Sammartino – 6/27/1977
* Boot Camp Match, Sgt. Slaughter vs. The Iron Sheik – 6/16/1984
* Triple H returns on RAW – 1/7/2002
* Trish Stratus vs. Mickie James on RAW – 9/11/2006

– Eva Marie and Jo-Jo Offerman (pictured above), new WWE trainees that will be introduced on “Total Divas,” are apparently being brought in for eye candy as they are developing a bad reputation in the ring.

– The scheduled dark main event for tonight’s Raw is listed as John Cena vs. Ryback in a tables match for the WWE Championship.

    “apparently being brought in for eye candy as they are developing a bad reputation in the ring”….so basically they will be just as good as 95% of the current divas.

  2. Would have made more sense to use a couple of NXT women wrestlers instead of some randoms who have never wrestled before for the Total Divas show.

    I wouldn’t be surprised. WWE has been hiring mostly girls that have expierience as of late. I don’t think any of us should mind if they have a few green ones. I mean hell some of those model highers have improved quite a lot over the years. Some of the former bad ones are at least decent now.

    However i ask, don’t put them on RAW this early. They have NXT for a reason, debuting people who need a lot more work on RAW isn’t the best decision making in the world.
