In 1990, NWA’s The Great American Bash, held in Baltimore, Maryland, was the final Bash promoted under the NWA banner. The 1991 event would still be produced by WCW, but with no NWA involvement

– Doom (Ron Simmons & Butch Reed) defeat The Rock n Roll Express (Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson) to retain the NWA World Tag Team Titles
– Paul Orndorff, The Junkyard Dog & El Gigante defeat The Four Horsemen (Sid Vicious, Arn Anderson & Barry Windham) by DQ
– The Midnight Express (Dennis Condrey & Stan Lane) defeat The Southern Boys (Tracy Smothers & Steve Armstrong) to retain the NWA United States Tag Team Titles
– Lex Luger defeats Mark Callous to retain the NWA United States Title
– Sting defeats Ric Flair to win the NWA World Title

In 1996, WCW Bash at the Beach, held in Daytona Beach, Florida, has gone down in history as the event where Hulk Hogan turned heel and formed the nWo

– on WCW Main Event, The Steiner Brothers (Rick & Scott) defeat Harlem Hear (Booker T & Stevie Ray) by DQ to retain the WCW World Tag Team Titles
– Dean Malenko defeats Disco Inferno to retain the WCW Cruiserweight Title
– Ric Flair defeats Konnan to win the WCW United States Title
– The Outsiders (Scott Hall & Kevin Nash) & Hulk Hogan defeat Randy Savage, Sting & Lex Luger to a no contest when Hogan came down to the ring and threw out the referee. The aftermath of the match saw the formation of the New World Order

Title Changes

1977 – Bobo Brazil defeats Blackjack Mulligan to win the NWA Mid-Atlantic United States Title

1985 – Tim Brooks, Mark Lewin & One Man Gang defeat The Von Erichs (Kerry & Kevin) in a Handicap Match to win the WCCW World 6-Man Tag Team Titles

2002 – The WWE Hardcore Title’s 24/7 Rule sees the belt pass from Bradshaw to Steven Richards, to Crash Holly, to Christopher Nowinski and back to Bradshaw

2003 – on Raw, Booker T defeats Christian to win the WWE Intercontinental Title
