I don’t know anything about him personally, but Evil Doink remains one of my all-time favorite characters. I download his CAWs for my WWE games.

  4. David K says:

I would hate to hear that it was a drug overdose that took his life. Too many wrestlers are dying that way.

Doink was funny when he was wrestling

  7. Kerry says:

Matt Borne was a great performer LONG BEFORE Doink the Clown ever existed. I remember watching him in World Class Championship Wrestling in the late 80’s.

  8. Fisha695 says:

Doink is survived by Doink 2, Doink 3, Doink 4, Doink 5, Doink 6, Doink 7 and Dink.

I know Matt Borne had battled “personal demons” in the past so this is sad to hear. I hope it is not related but you can’t help but wonder. I enjoyed watching him long before Doink. I even enjoyed him as Big Josh (what a terrible gimmick). It was a shame his run as Doink came to an end due to personal issues. He really did something with the character nobody else did.
